I was trolling Dodge Garage, followed link to Drop Top the 3rd party outfitter stumbled upon this picture of future 2024 Charger. Not sure about this EV 🤮 , current Challenger looks good as Convertible IMO but 26k is a hard pill to swallow. Not sure how many they will sell, but would look great as Shaker model.

I don't hate the look, or the front spoiler design. Doesn't have any appeal to me though, may be nicer looking than a Prius but I didn't buy a Dodge instead of a Prius. Same for Dodge EV, I don't have loyalty to a name and Stellantis Electric Cars is what they are making with a Dodge theme.

OK, so they make EV's to "Save the Environment". Yes, they do not emit, but almost all he energy comes from oil, gas and coal. So, they add what, 1/4-1/2 ton of steel to the car to stiffen the structure, and there is no cost to the environment?!?!?

The hypocrisy is sickening. The entire world has gone stupid. :(

I’d consider this car under a few conditions.

1. Put a GD red eye motor in it.
2. Fix those ugly a** rims.
3. Lose the hatch back rear “thing” they have for a proper trunk.
4. Less spoiler in hood design.

That ain’t no Mopar to me currently. Plus it ain’t too pretty lol and sounds like passing gas after 20 or so hot wings.

Just my 3 cents short of a dime opinion for what it’s worth.

Oh they'll make EVs to save the planet... mainly because nobody will buy them and you can't pollute with what you don't make.

When someone controls the narrative, the can say anything they like and get support from the "experts", "scientists" and media. I just read that 70% of youths think the planet will be destroyed by warming, cooling, climate change or whatever and agree that we should surrender all our rights to the "experts", "scientists" and politicians to save the planet. I'm glad I'm old.

The heads of all of Dodge's soon to be ex customers. They just don't get it
It has nothing to do with getting it. When the technology is mandated you don’t have a choice if you want to stay in business.

As Americans we tend to only focus on what is happening around us and many parts of the world have even stricter mandates. So if you want to sell cars you have to follow the rules no matter how unfortunate they may be.

For instance GM sells more cars outside of the U.S.
