Ran at the Loring Timinig association event in Limestone Maine a couple of weeks ago.Met my goal of over 200 mph
in 1.5 miles. Best last September was 183 mph in 1 mile. Since then added 2.85 upper pulley and Demon injectors.Weather was 77 degrees with mid 60s
dew points and low air pressure. Waited 2 hours for track to dry.Should be 2-3 mph more in better air.Not sure why the slip says 2017 Harvest event? 7-15-21 was correct.

Nice. Congrats. Solo? How does it feel/sound over 150.
I’ve done 163.. even at that speed you start getting a lot of wind noise.. relatively stable.. I changed my wheels out to 10.5 all around and 295 Michelin PS4s rears 285 fronts. You have to have some balls to take it over 200. I wouldn’t go that fast honestly I don’t have the stones for it

I’d bet money the Widebody Redeye Charger couldn’t do over 200. Those flares And big ass front tires will cause a bunch of extra drag. Might be possible but imo I think the 19’ charger is still faster on the top speed

Well done. I'm jealous. Did your speedo show over 200?
Thanks Yes the speedo does go over 200, and is dead accurate. I usually know within 1 mph what I ran before I see the slip.

Thank You. This is a very old Air Force runway built in the early 60s.Surface is now 55-60 years old. It is all cement and a little rough and bumpy. It is not smooth by an means. Can be a little intimidating on the first couple of runs. Car moves around a little bit, you do need to steer it. There is usually a light cloud of cement dust that will follow and hide the car a little bit from behind., From 1 mile to 1.5 miles it felt good fairly stuck down. Wind noise picks up a lot from 150-200. Stopping it over 200 becomes much more of a challenge than driving it 200 mph!

I have done this with several other cars.Had an AMG That topped 190 about 4 years ago.The Hellcat with the 2.85 is certainly the fastest. Stopping from over 200 mph was a lot more intense than getting there. There is not a lot of distance to stop if you go through the 1.5 lights.Very easy to stop after the 1.0 mile lights.

Cool. Based on the record, it looks like you had the fastest car. What were some of the other cars there, if you have a minute?
I run in the Super Car class. This is a street car class no real safety equipment for the car. I was the fastest in my class only. There are many race car and bike classes, with bikes and cars routinely hitting 230-260. There is another Dodge Charger tube chassis race car that usually runs 260+ with 350 motor single carb and lots of nitrous. Mostly race cars. not many fast street cars this time. A stock black 2012 CTS-V that ran 165 i mile and 175 1.5 miles.

260 plus is amazing. I'd be worried about the tires holding up. I think it's interesting the different venues that people get into with their cars. I raced in SCCA for 15 years, but rarely saw over 150 mph. Not sure my car would have gone much faster. Going 200 without a full cage, 5 point belts, and a helmet with HANS is pretty risky. Stay safe.
