Any opinions on the look. Maybe I’m being too weird.

The G2 looks a good bit flatter on the sidewall. The bulge of the NT05 looks better to me.
I've considered putting the G2 on the front of mine, leaving me with 2 sets of rears.

I had the G2's on my 392 charger wasn't very impressed. The NT05 which I believe is the stock tire on the SS is a much better tire especially for a purpose built factory dragster. If you want a streetable tire you will need to obtain a set of 20in wheels and run Continental Extreme contacts or Michelin PS4S but that defats the purpose of having a SS

I am not a fan of " mud flaps" but I put them on as well... those tires pick up every rock around.

Car looks absolutely tits. The nt05 is a much stickier compound than the 555g2. I’ve run both and LOVE the nt05. But the treadlife is not as good as the 555g2.

If it’s a daily I’d get the 555g2 if you want the set to last a few years. Or If you’re okay with buying a new set every year and love the grip get the nt05.

if the car isn’t a daily def get the nt05.

I ran the 555g2 as front tires on my 707 and never minded the extra wet weather traction.

Side note- I picked my SS up on Friday and drove 160+ miles in a total downpour that never let up. 42 miles per hour all the way home.. lol
