I know people are running the 315/50, but is anyone running the 315/55? Says they’re 31” tall. I need a taller tire due to gearing, looking to see if anyone has attempted to fit this behemoth yet. Thanks!

I ran the 315/50r17 without a spacer on a narrow body after upgrading to a 3.09. They rub (Forgestar D5s with 30 ET). This year I added longer wheel studs and a 12mm spacer. Right now the 315/50 tire is on national backorder, so I went with a hoosier 18873DBR. Here is a pic of my comparison:

Highly recommend spacers and longers studs, as well as open lug nuts for racing.

I could only imagine with the increased wheel diameter even with a spacer it will be a tight fit.

Thanks for the info! I think the 315/55r17 are in stock, I just don’t know if they’re too tall enough since they’re over an inch taller than the 315/50’s
Not only that but the inner wheel arch angles more than the outter fender. That would be my concern.

I run 315 /50 and could not imagine a 315/55, that is a huge tire.

I pounded my inner fenders, heated/cut/and molded my liners. And my 315/50 is tight but does NOT touch, even on grades. I do not see how that tire is going to clear. UNLESS you remove the liner and pray to the lord.

This. I beat the piss out of mine and they still wouldnt clear. @Unholy707 are you on stock power? If so a 305 would be more than grippy. And @GreenMachine15 did we race against each other in October at the MHSH?

Nope, 2.65 pulley E85 dual pumps intake blower spacers and 3.70 rear with the a8 😱
And that’s one heck of a pass!
That’s a hell of a setup, have you run it before or is this its maiden voyage? Imo if you are needing a bigger sidewall the 15” conversion is where you should head. Also she was booking, I let off at the 1000 cause I didnt want to break out too bad 🤣.

Will be the maiden voyage for her, so will have to learn the car. Have way too much gear which is why I’m looking for the tallest tire possible
Usually most Hellcats have a 2.62 or 3.09. It will launch like a bat out of hell. Did it come with the car or did you install?

Is the 315/50 with a 3.09 better than the 2.62?
Trashed the 2.63 and came across a 3.70 from a manual for a steal so put it in. Night and day difference
its actually a 2.62 and 3.09. My bear paws dont like the small iphone. When I had a 305 and the 3.09 I was shifting right at sixth across the 1320. With the 50 youll regain that gearing and hopefully say in fifth before the 1320z

Do you think the 305/45-17 will need the spacer with same rims?
