Quick question, looking at new all season tires. Between DWS06 and the Michelin AS4. DWS only comes in 315, and the with the AS4, the 315 is noticably cheaper, vs 305 (ironically). I know some people have done 315s on a widebody, but will there be any issues in drivability or how the car behaves with a 315 vs 305 on stock 11 inch wheels?

Don't look at the sidewall number. Look at the section width. Some 305's are as wide or wider than a narrow 315.

Gotcha, looked up stock tires and they show section width of 12.3. AS4 in 305 are also 12.3, and 315 is 12.4 (such a minimal difference). DWS 315 clock the largest at 12.6. thanks guys

I just ordered the Conti in 315, read in other post's it's no issue.
Thank you, all I wanted to know. This thread got off topic with load ratings and metric vs English. I just wanted to know if 315s were ok on the stock wheels without losing control or abnormal wear or something. section widths weren't that far off from stock, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going over the edge of doable.

Probably going Michelin as4 in 315/35/30, they are 30 dollars cheaper a tire than 305, and fill out the well a little better.

Yeah, you'll be fine and like them as well. It was a toss up for me between Michelin and Conti's, I think both are quality tires. All the pics I've seen with people running the 315's look really nice.
