After a long wait, I am finally behind the wheel of my Hellcat Charger.

Previously I had a 2019 Charger Scat pack and a 2021 Challenger WB Scat pack.

I absolutely loved my Charger Scat Pack. I loved how awesome the Challenger looked, but hated the way it felt to drive it. I really wanted to like it, but it just was not the same as my Charger.

The very second I sat in my Charger Hellcat, it felt like home. Of all they cars I have ever had, the Charger is my absolute favorite.

So at day 3, while I muddle through the nuances of the break in, I am utterly amazed at how much I enjoy driving this car over the challenger.. or any other car. I just cannot say it enough.. and it is not simply because it is a Hellcat (That is for sure a huge +). It is just a great car.

Has anyone else drove both and found such a polarized feeling between the two?

We had both a Charger Scat and now just a Challenger REWB. Sold the Scat at a very high price but miss it to hell (no pun intended). The Charger is more driver friendly, too. I can totally see how the Charger Hellcat checks all the boxes as a "compromise" between the two. However, I really dig the badass look of my Challenger.

I just can't do 4-door cars.
Yeah, that was my thought years ago. My first 6 cars (from 1978 - 1994?) were all two doors. Then I got a Toyota Avalon and since then they have all been 4 doors. Don't know why, never had more family than just a wife. Never hauled people around so really don't need the extra doors and room. Weird huh ?

Can you detail what actually feels better about it over a Challenger? I'm curious. Is it the handling?

The seat for one... I had Alcantara in both scat packs.. the Challenger was not as comfortable.

The sight-lines while driving.. the auto tilt side mirrors in the Challenger are useless.

My cell phone.. damn phone had no real spot as the cup holders and useless net pockets were ill suited to hold a phone.

The auto roll up on windows and a window frame with the Charger was missed greatly

I love the look of the Challenger fuel door.. hate using it.. prefer the capless on the charger.

The trunk.. while huge on both.. the lid auto open on the charger and the plastic bag hook are awesome..

The charger bumper at trunk opening is a scratch magnet.. PPF is a must

The mouth of the trunk on the charger is simply more useful and easier to load

IMO chargers exhaust is louder.

Blindspots in Challenger were bad for me

With all that said.. I love the way both look.. the Challenger Wide Body is a work of art ..

I wanted to love it, but couldn't

Ah. So mostly ergonomics. I use Apple Carplay and added a wireless dongle so I never need to have the phone out or plug it in anyway.
I rarely ever even open the trunk lol.
Hate auto tilt mirrors anyway lol.
I’ve found the blind spot indicators work well and am usually fairly aware of people creeping up on me or if I’ve gone by them. Between that and the blind spot system it’s worked out well.
Would LOVELOVELOVE a capless fuel system though.
Glad to know it‘s mainly creature comforts.

For sure it is mostly ergonomic issues.

I broke my neck several years ago and have several fused vertebrae that limit my necks range of motion.. the Challenger exposed that range of motion with ethe sight lines it has.

I don't think the redeye charger was ever offered in a narrow body
You are correct. All Charger Hellcats are WB now too regardless of RE or not.

I agree. Driving a Challenger felt like an SUV to me. Charger is much better to drive IMO
