I have had a total of 7 SRT Products and 4 HEMI 300's as well--loved them all. Pulled the trigger on a Narrow body Redeye in White/Red Laguna leather.. LOVE IT--Drove it straight from the San Francisco Bay Area to Las Vegas yesterday--just a standout unit and a certifiable screamer. The car was flawless all the way, even going through the Mohave with 115 temps.
My two previous Redeyes were Wide body units--I did have a 2015 M6 Hellcat which of course was a narrow body--I like both styles--to each his own right?
The only change I am going to make, is to install 3:09's--my previous Redeyes both had 3:09's and the gearing is definitely faster hands down on both low and top end.. My 2015 HellCat M6--I installed the 3:90 gearing and it made ALL the difference--a must on M6 cars.
I hope you are enjoying your Redeyes--all the best to everyone!

White is definitely underrated, it really stands out.

Let us know how the 3.09 swap goes. I have always wondered if there is some code deep in the PCU (or wherever) that is specific to the original config. It will be real interesting if you notice any difference between the cars what were OEM 3.09.

I think I read every 3.09 post and it looks like pretty much all the people that got the 3.09 from the factory are happy, but there seems to be a lot of swaps that are less impressed. So I have to wonder it maybe it's residual code.

Let us know! :)

I did a quick calculation and if I did it right, even the 3.09 has no problem reaching terminal velocity way before running out of rpm. I hit 172 in 5th in a M6 with a 3.90. Even with the low ratio, these are geared very tall.

I'm confused how 3.09 gears are faster top end then the higher 2.62's...mathematically that makes zero sense, in fact its impossible.

On the other had, thats one sweet ride. I'd keep those yellow things on, it makes people think you mean business.
the 2:62 can't pull through the aerodynamics issues--the 3:09's will--in other words efficiency through torque--the math is only on paper--it doesn't work out that way in a wind tunnel or real-world conditions--for instance why wouldn't Nascar run 2:50's instead of 4:10's??

correct--and the 3:09 can defeat aerodynamic issues, whereas the 2:62 cannot--the 2:62 hits a brick wall, while the 3:09 can push through

Will do! Enclosed are the pics of my two previous Redeyes--both Widebody units with 3:09's and rear seat delete. The 2015 is also enclosed that I did the swap to 3:90 gearing.

I went with the 2.62 for two reasons:

If that car had a 3.09, so would I! :)

Some of the other SRT Units I have owned--the SRT 300 was a total sleeper--took out some Vettes and other Muscle cars with it--they couldn't believe it! The Blue 392 was an M6 unit and I loved that car--fast and a super smoth manual trans.. The Toxic Orange was a 5 Speed Auto--my Wife LOVED that car--she still wants it back!. The Durango was a total gas hog--worst of all the SRT units--but who cares right?
