Thinking about adding some 4 and 1/2-in or 5-in exhaust tips to my charger Hellcat. I know carven makes a pair, but I'm not paying that kind of money for some exhaust tips.

What are our other options for direct bolt-on exhaust tips for the charger Hellcat? That means simply unbolting the stock tips and bolting these on directly in their place without any modifications...

The Carvens are only $240 and they're worth every penny. I might be mistaken, but I think that they're one of the few that you will find that is a direct bolt-on and re-uses the factory clamps.

If you can drop $80k+ on a car, what's $240 for a pair of tips that will make a dramatic difference in appearance of the car?

"Only" lol. There's nothing wrong with people that have bought them, but I can't justify spending that kind of money on exhaust tips. Especially when there are options out there that cost less.

So no need to talk about carven tips in this post as I won't be purchasing them new

I have the black carven tips on my car. They are awesome worth every penny. Hell I’ve bought decals for the car before for 240 just to throw them away because I didn’t like them. Every little doo dat for the charger Is like 200 unless you DIY and do plastidip them yourself etc.. want a custom cover under the hood 200.. fuel rails 350.. I will say one thing the stock tips on the charger are too small and on black cars especially they look off.. I also painted my rear diffuser the body color to match because from the factory it looks like an unfinished odd gray piece of plastic crap lol.

One thing I’ll also mention with the carvens.. some of these Goof balls have the carven tips sticking way out and makes them look plain stupid. You need to tuck them in properly or in my opinion you just look like an idiot with over sized tips sticking too far out.

I like how yours are flush - how did you get them like that? I have mine tucked back (what seems as far as possible) and they still stick out as you described. Cant get them flush no matter what i try. Any tricks or anything to get them back and flush like that?

Well as I remember I has the carven logo on the top and I just loosened up that bolt on the bottom and I pushed them back like I’m pretty sure that there as far back as they’ll go.. I think you just need the bolt loose enough to go back further as I recall.. and that little part at the back I have pushed in all the way against the exhaust connection like where it cyclinders back a bit that part can be pushed in and it can be right up against where the part of the tip curves out from that initial cyclinder dip in make sure that little part is pushed in and it’s right up against the part that expands out to the 5inches.. I tightened it right like that.

If the tips are poking out still.....try loosening the mid pipe/cat back connection clamps and then slide the WHOLE cat back system forward (since it's all one piece) into the mid pipes more
