Inquired to order a Durango Hellcat from Koons. Purchased my 2018 Trackhawk and a Ram from them. Just received a reply stating they have allocation but since this is the last run (heard that before LOL) they are asking 50k above MSRP. Um......I can buy an SRT and build a better Hellcat with that kind of cash. I got a killer deal on the 2018 Trackhawk from them. At the time they had 26 Trackhawks and wanted to move them as the 19's were coming out. Different market. Different scenario. Not paying above MSRP for this vehicle or any vehicle for that matter.

I think Koons is a bunch of ripoff artists.
I think all dealers have a slimy side to them. On my Trackhawk I made the deal via email and phone down to the finance rate. Filled out all the apps, signed agreement purchase order, etc. Drove down there from NJ and they tried increasing the finance rate 2 points. We went back and forth a few times until I walked out. Sales manager chased me to my truck and apologized saying we will make this right. Please come back inside. I did and they honored the deal we agreed to. Guess they thought they had me driving so far for the vehicle. So yea ... they can be slimy which is another reason I"m not paying above MSRP for anything.

I inquired about the SRT 392 Durango for which they can do 5% below invoice. If I cannot find a Hellcat at or under MSRP I will probably jump on the 392. Wish I would have kept my 426 from my Ram, and dropped the stock 5.7 back in before selling. That motor was built right, and good for 1100hp+.

OK, so you're not paying it. Now what?
I have time until June to either buy off the lot or go completely different route. This would be a company car so I have some time. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Curious why you ask though. Would you pay 50k over sticker?

Freehold Dodge in NJ has 3 allocations with 1 sold. They are offering the 2 at 10k above MSRP. Sorry...still no sale. Prices will come down eventually and I believe Dodge will bump production numbers to follow demand. Or I can be completely off base and I will never own a DDHC. Not paying above MSRP!!! :(

Found another dealer that wanted 20k, then 10k, and finally 5k. I still walked away. Not paying ADM!!! More allocation will be released similar to how the Trackhawks rolled out. Just because you have the means to pay ADM doesn't justify paying above MSRP. I can wait. {tick tock, tick tock} LOL

Despite what's goin on in the world 50k over is insane lmfao
Agreed. We are definetly rolling into a recession. Our company is 23% behind on sales this fiscal and we are usually recession stable.

Wait until people who purchased homes, vehicles, RV's or boats paying crazy ADM and/or artificially inflated prices try to get out from their loans.
