I believe it was 1/4.. I watched him on one of the 1320 videos. That thing moves out for sure, of course money can make anything fast. It's still a sweet setup, really clean... Wish I had deep pockets

1/4 mile, his 1/8th mile was 4.9 or there about.... all of these people whining about 275 tires and that they need more tire...

that was a 2400lb honda... probably a k24 build. it clocked at over 190 and the redeye was just over 170.

I just caught that. How is it that this car is running 7's on 275's? I mean, they are 15's and wrinkle slix and all but, still, SEVENS?
driver mod here is STRONG.

No, it was a "bye" run where he just had to make it to the finish to qualify, as his competitor had dropped out or some such circumstance, so he stepped up, did the usual hard launch, and coasted to the finish. I don't think he bothered to pop the 'chute.

I figured when I saw it that these cars only really know "all or nothing" in the throttle department, and he saved his engine a bunch of wear, and his crew chief some hassles, by just doing a no-burnout quick but not full-zonk zip to the finish line.

You wanna know what was one of the most poetic things God himself had to arrange, and got me a life lesson?

Cruz Pedregon teaching me about "never giving up."

I saw him in a Fuel Funny Car race. He came off the line, tires started smoking, you know how THEY smoke, like an entire forest afire, he lifted off, and I remember thinking that the race was over, because there are few things that "no quarter" refers to in battle more than making the tiniest mistake in the quarter mile battle, but the guy in the OTHER lane started smoking, too, so Cruz got back on the throttle, and they both smoked the tires all the way to the finish and Cruz won the race. Never in my entire life had I seen a fuel race where someone smoked the tires, then WON!

Years later, I happened to be watching drag racing, and I kid you not, Cruz steps up to the line and does the exact same thing, and the other guys ALSO did the exact same thing, and Cruz won the race AGAIN with his "NEVER EVER QUIT" attitude.

It was a pair of the best, most spectacular, drag races I have ever seen.
