Maybe it's just a coincidence but the number 29 just happens to coincide with the amount of allocations they dedicated to the 2023 svelte-body Redeye Jailbreaks? :p

I'm guessing the "1FAST29" is a throw back to body codes that were used in the past. 29 = 2 door sports coupe. One of the most famous 29 codes being a 1968 S/S Hemi Barracuda. The Dart was a 23 body code for 2 door coupe. BO29 = S/S Barracuda LO23 = S/S Dart

I think buttas got inside resources (a good thing) …I’m thinking a C130 on corn w/electric screws is what #7 is as well, but the question is will they be pressed for time and release a bomb?

Don’t think too much about it. Look at the previous 6, all lame add ons.

this may be a little better but it’s not going to be anything or include anything that hasn’t already been announced from sema.
Except more power than anything they’ve made yet….

That’s why it’s delayed. They’ve been blowing engines on the dyno.

Yep, nothing

Sounds more like a car that won't actually be sold, but parts can be bought. It's possible it will be like the Demon where it has two PCMs (one for E85 that won't be emissions certified or legal for street). But I would not expect any power increase from an emissions standpoint alone. They barely made the Demon pass which was years ago, things are not any easier now, and Dodge obviously threw all their R/D money into EV.

Also the electric S/C is pure nonsense. Powershot is on a plug-in hybrid Hornet, that means it has a battery (a 12kv apparently, so we aren't talking about a couple of 12V strapped together). The platform was designed for a battery from the start. The LX was not. It would be a lot of engineering to pass the safety testing and probably add enough weight to negate any advantage. I mean the Hornet's powershot is 25hp. Not really noticeable on a 4000lb+ car.

Those are rumors. How many rumors came out before the six special editions were officially announced and how many of you were disappointed? How many of those rumors were wrong? None of the six were radical changes from what we already have access to.

Like I said, what did you see at Sema? What information was released?

The most logical thought would be that the seventh may house one of those engines, guiding all other hellcat to use direct connection. That way you can keep funneling your money back to dodge. But like the poster above said, the demon had to be detuned to pass emissions, hence the race pcm.

Speaking of that, has anyone ordered one of these 29? Seems odd they are only making so few & I wonder if that means dealers with allocations are charging a high ADM.

It's not exactly just a rumor when it comes straight from Tim K's mouth.

“I think we’ve got it figured out, if we don’t blow up any more engines,” said Kuniskis. “We think we got it fixed but I am still holding my breath.”

What’s rumor again? It WILL have more power than Demon. There’s no rumor here….

It’s also not rumor they were blowing up engines.

Now, rumor has it Demon was making four digits or damn close in testing, that’s a rumor but very probable. Not substantiated by anyone, but when you read what went into development and lengths to keep things under wraps, she wasn’t maxing out at 800 ponies…it was WELL north of that. It was detuned for emissions and some level of liability and warranty concerns.

So, if you know Demon development, and you extrapolate that to today….why would they be blowing up the current engine? Because they’re shooting for the f’ing moon guy. Hellcat is the most legendary engine ever offered, hands down. Period. There’s the mystic of the 426 Hemi and it’s still-legendary performance on the drag strip and oval tracks, but even the mighty Elephant fell short on power and production numbers. They will put a stamp on V8 power that no one else on the planet halls the balls to even try. Legendary.

So, they’re cranking the ponies and trying something else. It’s a known recipe to make 900+hp because they did it 5-6 years ago. The other possibility in failures is bad parts, as most of todays stuff seems to be.

No rumors guy, maybe you haven’t been paying attention. We all knew the special editions would be sticker packages
