Those are rumors. How many rumors came out before the six special editions were officially announced and how many of you were disappointed? How many of those rumors were wrong? None of the six were radical changes from what we already have access to.
Like I said, what did you see at Sema? What information was released?
The most logical thought would be that the seventh may house one of those engines, guiding all other hellcat to use direct connection. That way you can keep funneling your money back to dodge. But like the poster above said, the demon had to be detuned to pass emissions, hence the race pcm.
What’s rumor again? It WILL have more power than Demon. There’s no rumor here….
It’s also not rumor they were blowing up engines.
Now, rumor has it Demon was making four digits or damn close in testing, that’s a rumor but very probable. Not substantiated by anyone, but when you read what went into development and lengths to keep things under wraps, she wasn’t maxing out at 800 ponies…it was WELL north of that. It was detuned for emissions and some level of liability and warranty concerns.
So, if you know Demon development, and you extrapolate that to today….why would they be blowing up the current engine? Because they’re shooting for the f’ing moon guy. Hellcat is the most legendary engine ever offered, hands down. Period. There’s the mystic of the 426 Hemi and it’s still-legendary performance on the drag strip and oval tracks, but even the mighty Elephant fell short on power and production numbers. They will put a stamp on V8 power that no one else on the planet halls the balls to even try. Legendary.
So, they’re cranking the ponies and trying something else. It’s a known recipe to make 900+hp because they did it 5-6 years ago. The other possibility in failures is bad parts, as most of todays stuff seems to be.
No rumors guy, maybe you haven’t been paying attention. We all knew the special editions would be sticker packages
