They already do. Theyre just measured at 100rpm lower currently. I guess they'll just measure it at 6400 now and tell everyone they raised the hp again. Gotta love the tactics.

Jeff Roselli w/SRT engineering just let it slip in a live interview at Roadkill nights that the next Redeye Challenger will have 807HP. Yes he said Redeye not Super Stock
Sure. But will it have a gas motor?

At least through 2023, I doubt theyre making many giant drive train changes before the new models come out.

No problem. Same engine etc.
It remains a equipment/drivers race.

They measured & certified 812 hp @ 6400 rpm on April 13, ‘18 for the Demon and each Redeye or SS power plant since. They can say it had any HP they want under 812.

I seriously doubt the demon hood gives a 10 hp increase over the snorkel hood. Even before the hood intakes, I find it hard to believe the stock hellcat airbox was restrictive at all.... Its the same reason why the super stock is rated at 807 vs. the demon's 808. It's all marketing.

Was that on 93 or 91 octane gas? Would it make a difference?
Not really. My point in my post is the manufacturer may call any HP they please under the rated/measured test and certification. Same engine, different day, different tuning that is all. The “slip” in the OP post is nothing significant or new. Except the good news that the RE etc. continues with the HO engine.

My casual guess is 91 octane, since that is the recommendation from the manufacturer that submitted the power plant. You can reference the standard.

"Rated at 807 horsepower and 717 lb.-ft. of torque on 91-octane pump gas, the new Hellcrate Redeye crate engine is engineered with proven, factory-backed hardware first seen in the wheelie-pulling, record-setting, limited-edition 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon – the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car ever. This same supercharged HEMI engine powers the industry’s most powerful muscle cars, including the new Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye and the high-horsepower halo of the lineup in 2021, the new 807-horsepower Challenger SRT Super Stock."

As others have said, just playing with the dyno numbers.

I'm glad to hear it.........You can't blame them for marketing , every year you have to have something new to talk up
