Speaking of HP for those who followed my Tesla / Hellcat re-match down at the MATS show
I had a VERY reliable source from Dodge Corporate pull me aside at the track right after the "viral marketing team" spent about an hour GoProing up my Tesla and my Hellcat and tell me "if Chevrolet and Ford want to keep playing this game, we have 808HP in the Glove Box ready for you with a simple 5 minute tune at the dealer next year and we plan on leaving your warranty in place at the 808HP number" so don't think for a second that Ma-Mopar hasn't planned this one all along. I think the SRT Team plans on staying on top of this one boys !!!
Nice work! I could see the hot, steamy air in this video lol, how hot was it? That's were the Tesla has an advantage. DA doesn't effect it.

Would they be able to tune up the Hellcat like that another 100hp without any hardware changes? The fuel pump/injectors etc are up to the task?

all those waiting for a HC should be praying for that 396 Camaro........it will take sales away from the HC and bring prices down and availability up

its going to happen at some point....chevy and Ford arent going to sit around letting Dodge beat them
Ford and Chevy got cough with their pants down thinking the hellcat would only put 606 hp. They are now two years behind the hellcat.

No hardware. It's all in the computer.
Wonder how much it will be...$$$? I guess they weren't kidding when they said it has a lot of untapped power potential....and to be covered under warranty.....interesting.

With revenue vacuums (police cars) sprinkler around every city and highway out there to land the next big fish, who really can take advantage of anything over 600hp in any car more than 2% of the time anyway.

Back in the 80s a speeding ticket could be $75 (not hundreds), 20% of the time time you'd get a warning. Hell, you'd get pulled over sipping a beer and the cop would make you poor your beer out before proceeding.

I know the Millennials find that hard to believe, but true. Now, every single time you transgress in any fashion the revenue collectors are waiting in the wings.

Having a muscle car isn't what it used to be. So really if 600+ HP cannot be utilized 98% of the time, 800+ hp is about as useless as a one legged dog trying to bury a turd on a frozen pond. (TRACK the exception of course)

What I am trying to say is I love fast cars I truly do, but come on. 600+HP street-use cars in the USA (maybe not if you live in some small town and play poker with the sheriff) is like a gerbil that can run 25MPH in a 1x1' cage.

A good thread to start if there isn't one already is who has already in deep do do with the revenuers on account of driving a 707hp car and actually driving it even moderately?

Burt,, what kind of car do you drive, or have in your garage...The hellcat drives just as good as any midsize car,, that being said, there are people out there that don't keep things stock...it's like buying a house, your going to change things to your liking,, the hellcat is no different,, people like to custom there cars,, and power is usually top on the list....if that didn't car about the power of the hellcat then they would of bought a 392...that being said,I would be first in line at the dealer to have this done. I'm also on the list to have one of the first CAI for the hellcat.. I was also first on the list at the dealer to order a hellcat, and my car was the second one they got...it's amazing car,, but I think there is more in this car waiting to be unleashed,, at the track..
