The Red eye at -1000 DA went 10.5 very traction limited and times all over the board all the way up to a spinning 11.5 at 131 at Cecil county. 1/4 tank of gas

Today at Mason Dixon with 800 Miles on the Super stock I went 10.9 to 11.2 on 6 runs all 60 fts were in the 1.55 to 1.57 times. MPH was a consistent 124 DA was over 2K and about 500 ft difference in sea level. Full tank of gas

The car hooked much better and was easier to drive but the 7 MPH difference on a car that is supposed to be faster has me worried?

Bad gas pulling timing?

Slower times than I hoped and the MPH having me worried.. the car let me cut consistent .05 RT's and the car will be wonderful bracket racing.. was really hoping for 10.7's with the bad DA !!

How many miles did each car have on it at the time?
Reason I ask is, I ran at a 1/2 mile airstrip this weekend against a 19 Redeye, mine is a 21. He pulled on me most of the way down the strip. His had 13,000 miles to my 2000. I think mine is still breaking in.
Both cars stock.

Interesting. Mph definitely seems low. Would figure 128ish mph in that DA

I used to build 2-strokes, 200s-250s with the best cranks I could get and did my own porting/blueprinting. It taught me that break-in procedures are very important (yes, more on 2T but still) and I had veteran racers ride with me saying my bikes were the fastest they had seen. Break in is huge, and so many stomp on these cars from new. Not the move.

Are you enabling the Power Chiller? Also, my RedEye that had that huge hiccup on the 1-2 shift was pulling timing because of all that violence. After the Hiccup, when the throttle went back open, I could feel it lay down and the power feed back in. I put 100 octane in the car and it fixed that. The Super Stock shifts 1-2 real hard and maybe it is getting some false knock?

I babied it like I was told to for the first 500 miles.

These are not LS motors but the LS 1's and 2s all the fast ones had the rings seated early..

Probably a few variables causing the difference.

CPO Super stock are you the one in Sauer Horsepower's video? Those times and mph are accurate for that DA plus the lack of break in miles. Also Mason Dixon isn't as good as Cecil. The best time I got at Cecil with my '19 redeye was 10.43 at 131 on a some what cool October day with a temp around 48 and a DA around 520. My car hated the hot summer days with high DA. I went to Cecil two times last year during the summer with two other redeye's, one a NB with no options and the other was a WB with all the options like mine and they kicked my rear all day. The temps were in the 80's to 90's and the DA was above 1500 both times. The NB was running 10.45 to 10.53 at 130 to 132 while the WB was running 10.7 to 10.8 at 127 to 130 and I was running 11.0 to 11.2 at 124 to 126. Other than the one being a NB the only major difference between us was the miles. I only had around 1500 miles on mine while they both had over 3k on theirs.

Yes on the Saure vid. Do not pick on me 2 much.
BTW this was on a18X 28 X 315 MT ET street
On a forced induction car the difference should not be that much !! the ET does not bother me as much as the MPH.
I was dead hooking , launching between 1800 and 2000 and not rowing gears so not really a driver mod?

drgrcr your 9.9 you had very few miles I think and do you know the DA? ( mine is fat so not expecting a 9.9X )

I do not need the fastest super stock just not the slowest ! :)
Irony is it ran almost exactly what my procharged GTO ran.. it was only .2 off from June to October at MIR. 11.2 in the summer and 11.00 in the winter... 1.53 60 7.0 1/8th at 100MPH and 11.00 at 124.
The correct DA to 1/4 time is only a 10.8 if you believe computer racing. :)

Lets say it does not correct its self or loosen up? Can the dealer see stored Knock or will I have to data log to prove it?
Curious because it is going in the shop tomorrow to get the steering wheel light fixed.

I am not picking on you I was just curious because I am friends with Sauer and he is the NB that I was at the track with. Every car is different even forced induction. Like I said when we went to the track Sauer was running 10.45 to 10.53 with his NB redeye while I was running 11.0 to 11.2 with my WB redeye and the other WB redeye was running 10.7 to 10.8. Sauer and I were both running on a 17X10 wheel with the M/T ET Street R 305/45R17 tire and the other WB redeye was running on a 17X10 wheel with a M/T ET Street R 315/50R17 tire. All of our speeds were different from Sauer running 130-132 while I was running 124-126 and the other redeye was doing 127-130. And temps/DA do make a hell of a difference because during the summer Sauer runs 10.4-10.5 and during the winter he has run his best around 10.04 I believe. During the summer I was running 11.0-11.2 and during the winter I was running 10.43-10.5. What tire are you running because I didn't think M/T made a 315 in a 18" wheel?
