Yes, an alignment is needed. After you install, if you take the car to be checked you can get a printout, send it to AADand they will tell you the tabs you need for the camber you are after and proper caster.
That is assuming you can get them to respond to you. Great product, but after delivery customer service is pretty poor. I tried for a couple months to get the tabs I needed. Gave up and just bought the full tab kit from HHP. Got things dialed in and it drives great. Really happy with the kit ( I did front and rear).
P.S. If your car had good alignment before (i.e. no cradle shift issues) these cars are stupid easy to align especially with the AAD kit. I do my own and got it done in a couple hours. Most cars take me about half a day. May have got lucky but it was pretty easy to fine tune.
