Has anyone removed the springs and wired open the exhaust valves on a Redeye without getting a engine light? Thinking about doing this cheap mod for now until I tune the car in the future and turn them off. Wondering if it works or if I should pony up for the Khaos plates?

Put them on now at half the price of the resistor kits and when you tune them out you can easily sell them to recoup a good % of your money back.
Expensive for what it is but it works. I have them.
OR just watch for a set of used ones to pop up for sale.

Why not get the AWE Catback Track Edition exhaust, especially since in your future you are going to add more mods and a Tune.
I have the track edition installed on my Hellcat Charger. I love the sound when Daily Driving.

@Jaybee8812 did his and made it sound easy.
So far as I know you cannot do this with 18 and older. Mine is a 17 HC it popped a code wiring them open. Hence why I went with the Zautomotive product. That And because I didn't want to modify my exhaust other than the mid muffler delete. AES motor works on resistance and if it doesn't feel it it tells pcm there is a problem. I've heard on 19 and newer you can get away with it.
I listened to the tone of the Awe exhausts and I’m not a huge fan of what I heard online. Maybe in person it’s better but I tend to prefer the stock sound when modified a bit. If I did headers down the road it would be real loud also!

Yep..I think it's a 2019 and newer ordeal, I just wanted to point out it worked fine on my 2020 - YMMV, I don't have a redeye so I can't speak to a RE specifically but my widebody HC i've had the springs removed and the valves kept open for a while now and no issues at all.
It takes all of 20 mins or so (depending on your abilities I guess lol) to test the theory out - if it works, keep it...if it doesn't then you'll need to look at the overly expensive kit options out there.
This is what i did. I have a 2020 widebody redeye challenger. Removed the springs and wired the active exhaust open then placed the actuators back on to hold the wire. 100 miles and no check engine light. Just dont unplug the actuators while doing this free mod.

As a side note i used a permanent marker to mark the springs and actuators just incase i had to put them back on. Also put some masking tape on the springs and labeled them so i knew what actuators they were on.

So i did a muffler delete then did this mod so its been loud ever since. Honestly it feels a little louder after startup.

It's not groundbreakingly different - but you will notice the change.
Throttle response is better (at least from my butt dyno results since changing)
