Never really liked the idea of blocking off the vent in the hood completely with the JLT rain shield. Researched other options and found none so bought the AFE shield. The filter base on the AFE is quite a bit larger so it's not a direct bolt on but with some add led persuasion with my heat gun I was able to remold it to make it fit perfectly. Definitely took some trial and error but super happy with results.

With this rain shield and the home made heat shield I made to fill the gap above the tube I should be good against heat and water now.

I took the AFE sticker off and my wife added the decal for me Since it left a void space and needed something.

Nice! I just got the rain shield for my AFE, spent the extra for the "fake" carbon fiber one.

Did you notice any decrease in supercharger whine with this installed?

I just got one of these and leave it on through the winter. No noise reduction either.

Yes, it reduced the whine a little bit but still louder than stock.
