Hello y’all,
I’m currently looking to purchase some aftermarket rear axles and wanted to hear if you guys have any brand recommendations to look into.

Depends on power level and what your doing with the car; street, strip, road course track, etc. Increased HP and drag track use get them GForce Outlaw axles, they cost more but their better then the competitions. They use their own design CV’s which are superior Vito their competitors off the shelf Porsche CV’s. My .02 at least.

Thank you. And yeah, I’ll look into those.

Hi @Bay650 Welcome to the Forum!

My Hellcat Charger is an A8 that I drag race and Daily Drive.

I have The Driveshaft Shop's The Driveshaft Shop 1400HP Level 5 Axles for 15-Current Challenger, Charger & 300C 6.2/6.4L
I have had 0 issues with these axles and have had them installed since Jan 2017. I have a little over 900 HP
I also have their Driveshaft and a @Per4Mance Development Diff Brace. <--------- which I call the Best Peace of mind mod installed!

I also have the G-Force axles and driveshaft installed on a 2010 Challenger that my daughter race's 11.50's

A word to note, I have stage 5 1400 hp Drive shaft shop ((DSS) axles on my Challenger, they saw 850 wheel, (950 the last year, they’ve been replaced once already and the replacement set rebuilt once as well, pounded out clicking and vibrating CV’s each time. DSS has a new design that they have yet to make public as their wanting to liquidate all of their current design parts first before putting these out there. I have pictures of them and know 3 guys testing them for them. I’d buy Redeye axles before the current design DSS. GForce has their CV’s made for them out of a high grade alloy, hardened, polished, redesigned a few times until coming up with a CV that lasts. GForce uses different diameter half shafts left and right just like the factory does which is their anti wheel hop design, different diameters induce different torsional spring (twist) characteristics to the axles which keeps them from getting in a resonating pattern with each other and reduces the tendency to start hopping, DSS axles are the same part # left and right side. DSS uses 2 piece spline hubs which are prone to run out, GForce uses one piece hubs machined from a solid billet, they run true. I can go on, I’ve done allot of research on axles since being burned with my DSS ones which someday will be for sale, interested in a low miles just rebuilt set of them? Let me know. One caveat to this, I’m a stick, auto’s are much easier on driveline parts, less Shock loading, take that into consideration with your decision what to buy as well.

Kinda been skimming the web and everyone has had a positive experience with Gforce. Going to dive deeper and see if maybe a set of renegade or outlaws fits me better. As the car is currently stock. Right on for the info! 👍🏻

Are you going to leave your car stock?
Is it an M6 or and A8

This 100%.
X3 here, I Agree with both here. I just bought 2 sets of RE axles to try. At 850 wheel they should hold up just fine, I’ll be over 1000 when I try them and place more faith in them then my DSS ones. If they fail it’s GForce Outlaws next. Don’t waste your money on the GForce renegade level, their good and probably a hair better then DSS’s best but spend the extra 500 and get the Outlaws if you go the GForce route, you’ll have them forever.

It’s an A8, I do not plan on having it stock for long. Still want to daily the car, but plan to push above 850.
OK, back in 2015 My husband and I were T&T + R&D testing and Tuning of parts and Tuning with [email protected]

Back then there were not any after market axles. I was 1st to break on. But here is what happened on that night.
It was under 50 degrees, which is very bad especially when launching. My HC was not quite at 900 HP yet.
My Husbands @Top Cat HC also broke that night too. His CF Driveshaft spewed out the back like spaghetti. Again the problem was the gear box broke.
The Gear box broke and took out my Axel. I had a DSS AL driveshaft installed because the 2015's were know to twist up very easy. The 2016 were beefed up.
The axle was replaced with an OEM one. I did break another gear box and it took out my driveshaft.

Having the 900HP I continued on the oem axles and did not have a problem.
Again the Best peace of mind is the P4 Brace Dodge - Challenger - 2015+ HELLCAT, REDEYE & DEMON - Safety Equipment - High Horse Performance, Inc. I still have the original installed. I upgraded my axles before having the brace.
The Brace helps the gear box from breaking. I would recommend that until you really have enough HP to upgrade the axles.
I'm not sure if i really needed to upgrade the axles, but I just made the decision to do it based upon some of the other Hellcats I race with. But they do have more HP than me.

I would take the mods in steps and upgrade along the way to more HP.

There are lots of different parts you may want B4 axle upgrade.

Don't go for a partial piglet.
Go whole hog and get the bolt-in Ford 9" Hellcat rearend conversion also and you can kiss any chances of jigsaw puzzle fun at the start line goodbye. I have not as often heard of trans failures, (other than Bruce Jenner,) at the launch of a drag race, but I have seen multiple rear pumpkin disintegrations.

I sure would like it if there was some way to cram a Dana 60 conversion under that luscious ass, but oy, vey! the 9 3/4" ring gear diameter is one thing, but the REALLY thick cast housing is quite another. Like Groundclearanceville, man!
