Does anyone hide a few of these in their car? Outside of revelco and other anti theft devices, seems like an easy and cheap way to track it. Anyone know if there is a way a thief can disable these?

I'm planning to get revelco installed but in the even a thief puts the car on a flatbed, this seems like another layer of protection.

Air Tags/Smart Tags have to be located & take the battery out to disable them. I did see a YouTube video that says tags can be jammed/blocked like a GPS Signal with a Signal Jammer, but have not done any tests myself. Gotta think there would be some protection if multiple tags were placed in the car.

Theyre ok but if the thief has an iphone it will notify them that they are being tracked. Odds are pretty good that many of them have iPhones.

I have an android so it's a samsung tag. But as an added layer of protection I'm sure it could only help. Especially placing a few since they are pretty cheap.

The internal battery on my samsung smart tag is lithium battery, similar to the ones in our key fobs. Good for a year or two.

Apple says you need an iphone 11 or newer to fully utililize the tracking functions as the "Precision Finding” functionality will NOT be available on phones without the U1 chip. But the basic tracking "Find my Iphone" functions work.

Not sure. Ive read that it can take a while to show up so who really knows.

I tried one in my wife’s golf cart. It didn’t notify her until some 3 days later.
I keep one hidden in my Redeye.😉
