Hey Guys, A Girl Here, I have question and I hope you can give me some advice. My 21 Charger Hellcat Redeye Widebody got broken into by someone smashing the window I was lucky enough to where they weren’t able to steal my car and I know it’s happening like crazy everywhere. and with cars and parts like it is I’m just trying to do anything I can. know that Dodge is supposed to come out with a security update but what I’ve read its not working like it should. My question is there an alarm system that you would recommend? And from past experience would need to have something with glass break. Thanks, trying to feel comfortable again.

Something that you can consider is an aftermarket alarm system that will integrate an additional "starter kill", a siren and most importantly, notification back to the owner (you) that the car is being tampered with. They don't prevent a flatbed and with enough time, anything can be bypassed, but at least it slows them down AND notifies you so that you can call police. Directed Electronics and Compustar have been around for a bazillion years and have solutions.

Viper had been a good alarm in one of my previous cars. They used to offer a paging system. You definitely want interior sensors that detect motion, interior movement, and glass breakage. Other good features are mentioned in the post above.

Ravelco gets a lot of positive feedback for an anti theft device.

Combining that with a good alarm would be a pretty solid plan.

Someone from another forum had his Challenger stolen, recovered it, and did a deep dive on securing his car for the future once it was repaired. After a lot of research he chose Compustar T13 Pro base security system with Drone Mobile. I can't speak to it myself, but with the little digging I've done on the topic I'd have to agree it's the best choice I've run across.

Do you have more info on the shock and tilt sensors?
[/QUOTE
Sorry, I paid an installer that knows a Lot more about car security systems than me. You just need to find a reputable installer you trust. I informed my installer that I wanted a shock and tilt sensor where I could use the factory key fob. I did Not want a 3rd party remote been there did that. And he did some research and made it happen. The only issue he ran in was the system was too sensitive and sounded the alarm on every remote start up. So he added some extra relays that would allow remote start up without setting off the alarm. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Sorry to hear this happened. Mine was broke into yesterday and they shattered my window and attempted to hook into the star plate. (Not sure what stopped them from stealing it) as soon as I get it back I’m getting an alarm system from viper which I was recommended to. It will be programmed to go off of someone even loos at it 😆

I had the revelco ignition cut out installed for $400 and no one will hotwire my car so they'll need a rollback to get it.
Highly recommend the revelco.
16 pin connector in which only 3 are hot which are randomized on the plug.
The 3 hot wires are wired into the car electronics inconspicuously.

My understanding is that it's even better than that.... there are multiple critical systems with wires that are routed through
the 16 pin connector and randomized as you said. It's more than 3 circuits that are re-routed.
