I am asking for anyone with a hellcat and who uses AlfaOBD to please either post a BCM read (preferably) or screenshot from your BCM read of the chassis type of your vehicle. Please include the model year, model type (Challenger/Charger), and transmission (manual/automatic). If you post the BCM read make sure to block out your VIN#.

I'm trying to test a theory and find a solution on a couple things. Particularly, I have a 2016 A8 Challenger Hellcat and I upgraded to a 2019 Uconnect radio so I could get Android Auto / Carplay plus the newer performance pages and faster processor of the newer radios. I'm very happy about the upgrade and everything works options wise except launch control is defaulted to 1,000rpm and the rpm cannot be adjusted. This is pretty much the case with everyone I know that have a 2015-2016 vehicle and upgraded to the newer Uconnect 4c radios. I have done a fair amount of research and suspect this can be fixed via a command using AlfaOBD. I appreciate anyone that can help.

Also, I’m curious here. Did you try driving 500 miles yet? You replaced the bcm, programmed as new, and the radio. I’m wondering if the 500 mile lockout for launch control was somehow reactivated/reset? Maybe not, just throwing ideas out there

I have a 2016 so I did not have to replace my BCM. I also know several others who have 2016's and did the upgrade and are experiencing the same thing with their launch control so I don't think that is the case. That is why I am hoping some of the other members can help out and post a copy of their BCM read or at minimum the screenshot of their chassis type. I'm particularly interested in 2017 and up but I would like to compare 2015-16 also as long as the reads are from an automatic transmission vehicle. I could be wrong but I strongly feel the launch control issue can be resolved through a BCM command via AlfaOBD.

Alfa enables or disabled the functionality, has nothing to do with rpm limit

Go through and reset the abs, radio, bcm, and radio frequency control hub module. Look for any codes in those modules and clear them. Process of elimination.

After looking at the log file there is a bunch of stuff in it. It didnt want to attach, Ill see what I can do. It has HOM and Chiller in there. I wounder if I could turn on the chiller function and get rid of the toggle switches Im running and let the bcm do its thing. I had to change the .log to .txt to load the file.

You absolutely can if you have the wiring, I can help you out. Can do a factory install. Also need ac lines

Need the high octane center stack as well

I may keep it the way I have it. Finally have the ac and chiller working good together. If you scroll down to miscel. params there is aftermarket ecm detected. Is this where it stores the p1400 code?

Thanks I'm going through it and will be testing a couple things and will post any findings.

I agree I'm not a huge fan of it but I'd still like to figure out the issue post upgrade.
