Very cool. Was there any activity at GM or FUG, or are they glorified tv production sets?
They were filming at GM and saw Richard walking around. Tried to see if I could park the HC under the big sign but was told no. Ha

Sweet pics. After getting wet I read somewhere that if you wring them out and hang them up right away they don't shrink. Is that true?

Very Cool pictures at the 3 famous TV locations in Dallas. They should have let you park under the sign at GM. Thanks for the share Lurch251!

I bought my HC in Irving, not too far away. While I was doing the paperwork I mentioned to my salesman that I really wanted a set of Brass Monkey wheels. He said he'll see what he can do. I bring up the brass monkey wheels again a few minutes later and am told the finance guy is related to Richard Rawlings and he is working on it....ok?....

When I meet the finance manager he tells me to go to the Gas Monkey Bar and Grill, he talked to Richard and he will be there for the next 2 hours. Huh? Dude, I want Brass Monkey wheels, what's that got to do with Gas Monkey? The salesman knew so little about the HC that he thought I wanted Gas Monkey branded wheels and to meet Richard. I'm still confused about how that was misconstrued. ::facepalm::

I did not go to meet Richard. I like the show but I despise what he's doing to the classic car market in Texas.

Last summer, I took a 1965 Jeep/Kaiser wagoneer (34K original miles) to Sue for reupholstering. I wanted to keep the original fabric seats and just replace the vinyl. Many shops in Arlington and Ft. Worth were not interested in keeping the original fabric and wanted to do a complete redo. I new Sue worked on a lot of classics, so I tried her. She is nothing like what she is on the show. She is completely down to earth and super personable. She spent 1.5 hours with me just to find the right shade and texture of vinyl that matched what I was replacing. She took us on a tour of the shop, we watched her people in action, saw a lot of cars that were later featured on the show. Excellent work.
