Has anyone ever research alternative fuels besides E85 for our beastly street legal drag cars? Such as propane? CNG? LNG? etc. And if so, has anyone found a company that does any type of conversions? Just curious.

Filled up today at a Chevron station. Next to the gas pump was an E85 pump. Sticker on the pump clearly stated E85 was not a product of Chevron. Ethanol range 51% to 83%. Hardly more consistent than gasoline with "10%" ethanol in it.

Somebody somewhere has converted a modern Challenger to run on just about anything that will combust.

Every alternative fuel has its pros and cons, mostly cons.

Did a quick search for CNG conversion kits. Found Blue Power. But the kit is limited to 400hp or less. That's definitely a con...

Have to say the YT videos of CNG vehicles and their tanks exploding during refueling -- big con! -- would put me off the stuf before I had the conversion done.

At your word that does sound bad, I'm more or less just looking long term. At 21 years old, I'm not sure in x years that our gasoline machines will even have fuel to run. I guess E85 or E100 (if that even exists) would be a thing. I don't know.
