As the title suggests, I'm curious if there are any 'better' alternatives for lug nuts for the Race Star wheels than the ones they sell. I don't have a set yet, but I hear them bitched about all the time.

I also thought I saw someone mention a different set of nuts that they used but never referenced what they were exactly.

What type of seats do the wheels have? That will dictate the type of lug nuts. Don't most of those use a "shanked lug nut"? Have you checked Amazon?

Yeah the Race Stars are direct drill and need a shank. Just was curious if there was a popular alternative people were using.

Gorilla lugs are key. Those race star shanks blow balls.

The shank is not as long as it should be on either RS or gorilla. They will work but they are both only 1.375”. Back in the day I was able to start w longer lugs and turn em down to what the wheel required but these wheels also require a small hex. Have fun

E-Bay has Race Star lugs a little cheaper also.
