We had to call MOPAR Road Side Assistance to get the Hellcat jump started this morning. I am thinking we have a dead cell in the battery. I went through two Mopar batteries in the Challenger before I threw in the towel and bought a NAPA Gold that has now been in the car for 4 years without issue. We got the Charger over to the dealership and I will be there first thing in the morning to speak with the service department. I have to be honest I am not a fan of MOPAR batteries.

There are only a few actual battery mfgs & they all private label.

4 years is about it... you did good...

Consider replacing with a H8 AGM. All you need is the H8 Battery Holddown. That's what I did...

So, you've had 3 batteries, (two in 3 years), in 7 years (assuming it's a 2015 Hellcat)?????? If so, I'd look elsewhere. Secondly on the battery maker info. I got my car February of 2021, and the southern dealership finally replaced the original because they worried about me living up north. They thought it was still pretty good though (whatever that meant). 42K on it at the time of sale but it spent its life down south too. I've been carrying one of those Lithium jump packs for a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time!

Do you drive these cars regularly - multiple times per week or do they set for extended periods?
Do you have dashcams that continue to run while the vehicle is off?
In our Jeep and my GMC truck I found the dashcam which was set to run until the battery reached 12.0 volts destroyed the batteries in about 2 years.

Don't our cars have the auto-shutoff for a low battery? When I have the full-time dash cam going, it shuts down when too low. However, the car always started in sub-zero weather.

I don't think the Challengers have the low voltage battery disconnect - at least not my 2015. I'm not saying the Dashcams I had completely discharged the batteries. The 12.0 shutoff on the Dashcam controller continuously cycled the battery between fully charged and 12.0 volts which is maybe 40% charge. The vehicle always started but the batteries were shot after 2-3 years. Vehicle batteries are not designed for routine deep discharge.

Do you have one of these on your negative battery terminal?? This is the Battery Sensor that monitors battery levels and serviceability and controls whether certain car functions operate.
