Undercover Cop Kills Passenger Of Car That Hit Him While Doing Donuts (msn.com)

From article: "Chief White also said these performance cars should arguably not be street legal, nor in the hands of anyone for that matter. He went on to say he’d “love to see auto manufacturers take some responsibility,” regarding the misuse of performance cars or “...at the very least,” he said, “let’s not make them so easy to steal...” This was in reply to a reporter who brought up the recent surge of car thefts through the use of counterfeit key fobs."

I agree with part about not making them so easy to steal, though.

Well, most chiefs nowadays are there because they are politically appointed. Secondly, this smacks of the "assault weapon ban" many years ago. They blame the tools as opposed to the humans.
Exactly. The internet, YT, is filled with videos of people misbehaving and badly in all sorts of cars, make that vehicles. From off/on road motorcycles, 3 wheelers, side by sides, ATVs, pickup trucks, cars, and not all are muscle or supercars either. Construction equipment. Golf carts. Buses. Even a few times the perp managed to steal a police car or a firetruck and go on a rampage.

I'd put the blame for this type of behavior less on the car more on the driver who has seen over the past couple of years a serious decline in traffic patrols, enforcement of traffic laws mostly arising from liberal politicians making it a policy to reduce enforcement of these laws because of "systematic racism" or some other imagined wrong that somehow means preps can get away with behavior that leads up to behavior that ends in someone being seriously injured or even killed.

That's right. You don't ban the gas station because an arsonist filled up his 5 gallon container there. Common sense not so common anymore. Gotta blame someone!

The person driving the car did the wrong thing......To blame the car is like blaming a gun for someone shooting someone .

I really can't understand how all these HOOD RATS obtain these cars....and then abuse the heck out of them
in constantly uploaded YouTube videos.... I watch... b/c I am amazed. This is what defunding the police looks like, I guess. (?)
This car was stolen according to the article. defunding the police...what does that argument have to do with this article?
I see ppl looking at these A-hole criminals and politicize it, lump summing it to every group (or state) that does not agree with them. I agree these are scums of the earth, and Dodge needs 2021 levels of security not pre 2000. But the real issue is the criminals and not the vehicle. IMHO

It's always the few that ruin things for the rest of us. Idiots with powerful cars, idiots with fast motorcycles, idiots with guns, etc etc. It only takes a few to ruin or create a bad image for the rest of us. It NOT the cars fault, or bikes fault, or guns fault. Or even manufacturers fault. It's just some people are stupid, and instead of pointing fingers or calling them out or making them pay, (remember we can't Hurt anyone's feelings), we are all made to suffer and deal with unfair rules and laws.

Does anyone really care what anyone in the media has to say?
Unfortunately, many aren't as wise as our brethren on this site and do blindly still trust the media. Then those people pressure their politicians to push for laws that ban devices and events that are usually harmless without incorrect, illegal actions. If someone doesn't realize that, they are ignoring more than the media.

Don't forget the idiots that had to ruin the image of Diesel trucks and bring about stricter emission laws by using their trucks to "roll coal".

they are still polluting less than the hypocrites with the private jets and the ones mining Greenland for battery production. Kool-aid drinking time is over.
