i been looking into a anti theft system for my SRT jeep just cant decide which route to go anyone have any recommendations, currently debating between RAVELCO & IGLA
If the IGLA uses a stock key, how does it keep a thief from duplicating the key and driving off?IGLA for sure plus you can retain your factory remote start with it unlike Ravelco where you'll lose it.

I misread it. It said retain factory remote start, not factory remote. What stock key? IGLA has a little separate key fob and a pin code system. Without either, the car cannot be started. Also the system is advanced enough that a thief won't be able to duplicate keys or hack into it or whatever.
IGLA also has a Hi-jack mode. If someone were to Hi-jack the car and drive off, the theif will only get so far as the car will eventually shutdown since it will keep asking for the pin code and the thief obviously won't know it and will probably have no choice to leave the car.
Ravelco on multiple cars. I am a fan. I like the IGLA product for sure - it’s solid and has great potential - but it needs more support in the States before I would pursue it personally. I never use remote start since my car ends up a garage queen 6 months of the year.
I just had a killswitch and alarm installed and the kill switch is connected to the starter itself (not the ignition button, which I've also seen work as well).
On my '22 JB Charger I have the following line of defense:
1) Kill switch
2) Compustar alarm w/drone (GPS tracking via my phone) and utilizes the factory keyfobs and doesn't affect the factory auto-start
3) Additional wired-to-my-battery extra GPS system (this is about $100/year for the phone app w/GPS tracking, phone alerts, etc...just like the drone that's installed with the extra alarm.
4) Air tags (2) hidden in the car and trackable via my phone
5) u-Connect Guardian service...currently using the free trial, which I think is a year...
6) Neutral strap blocker (simple install)
7) brake pedal lock, which I keep in the trunk if I ever feel like using it. Seems like if you really wanted to, though....just twist the thing to the side, even if it results in the pedal-arm being bent...it could likely still allow the usage of the pedal
Why did you feel like the new deluxe security system from Dodge along with the hub lockout was not enough?
I am fairly comfortable it works - it’s been in the EU for some time. My concern is limited number of installs and places to install / get data here in the states. I would like to see more of both for a bit. Access, longevity, volume will just take time - being in the tech field - I am just not an early jumper on some of this. It’s a good blend of a physical and software solution…it’s the software side that I want to see play out a bit. Too many people with too much time and nothing to lose…Support as in, it needs more availability for shops to install it because it's hard to find local shops to install it?
Or do you mean since it's new it needs more support as in proof it works effectively?
Simply curious to know your thoughts as I'm soon wanting to get it installed.
Do you have it on your car? Which model did you get?IGLA for sure plus you can retain your factory remote start with it unlike Ravelco where you'll lose it.

I personally have not had any issues with my installs (one is an SRT Durango). To your point I am not sure how the install would impact the performance pages? I would stay close to your installer and, if needed, have him check everything over again. But there could be something else going here?Anyone with a revelco have any side effects after install? The first time driving my hellcat durango after the install yesterday the SRT button on the center console no longer works. (The first thing I do when driving away is change it to my custom set up I made)
You can also get to that page another way and see all the srt performance pages from the u-connect screen, which now when you hit the srt page tab, it’s mostly blank and only has a tab for vehicle settings which has nothing to do with performance… How can a kill switch effect this?
I called the installer and he said sometimes dodges get check engine lights after the install and usually goes away after you drive it or disconnect the battery which I did and nothing. Started checking fuses and all seemed fine.
