I read through a few discussions already and didn't find much. I do not track my car and rarely brake hard. I am at 30k miles and my rotors are getting thin. I found a rotor online for $100 each. They're called "Centric C Tek Slotted brake rotors"does any know if these will work? It seems way too cheap to be legit. Or does anyone know of another brand of relatively cheap pads/rotors that work for the hellcat?

Centric has two options
Centric part number 226.63088 - 1-piece
Centric part number 126.63088 - 2-piece

There are numerous options:

DBA and KNS both sell replacement rings that fit the OE hats--possibly less expensive than a complete rotor.

If you want to replace the entire rotor options include;
DBA 2-piece
KNS 2-piece
Baer 2-piece
EBC 2-piece
Demon Performance (girodisc) 2-piece
centric 2-piece and probably stop tech (which is a centric brand)

If the centric 2-piece hat matches OE you might be able to get the ring part number and just buy the rings.

Thank you. This is a dumb question, but do the pads have to be specific for the rotor brand or can I just use oem pads?

You can generally mix and match most pads and rotors all you want.

There are a rare few combinations that aren't good, but you're not likely to find them.
(eg one combination that I know is bad is porterfield rs-4 with girodisc rotors)

Different brands of rotors will last longer than others, of course.
Pad material affects rotor wear and stopping power, usually directly related.

I think I’m gonna go w a DBA 2 piece I found. What pads do you recommend? And my oem rotors lasted 30k miles. brake pads last 10-15k on average. Any way you can give a guess how long the DBA set will last me?

I have no idea. My front oem rotors lasted me 45k, pads 20-25k each set. Sounds like you use your brakes more than I do.

I've not used the DBA rotors, so don't know how they compare with the Brembo rotors for wear. If you're changing pads also, well now you have two variables changing and pretty impossible to compare.

If you're just daily driving, everyone seems to recommend using the Z26 pads to reduce brake dust. They reportedly have plenty of stopping power.
Personally I use the Brembo pads cause I'd rather not have to ever worry about brake fade catching me when I least need it (I do carve some canyons occasionally), and the dust doesn't bother me.

There's a lot of pads to choose from out there--most from respectable brands. Unless you find terrible reviews I doubt you can really go wrong. Anything unsafe is probably pulled from the market rather quickly--and what brand would survive such an event?

Going cheaper could result in getting thinner than OEM rotors. OEMs can be found at discount online. Cheaper if self-installed.
