I ran 9's in my Demon with them but have deleted them now.Do you have to delete cats in order to run in the 9s
I don't care about race fuel .drive my car on the street .when I race use 93 oct plus a little boostane to make sure its at least 93. Thanks for your advice. They don’t restrict flow much at all. The reason it’s a little more rare is some of the race fuel that the faster cars use will kill the cats.
They don't typically pass emissions but some people prefer to run them over off-road pipes for the decrease in volume.Hi flow cats are lame. I ended up w cel’s on every street car I have ever ran them on. None of which would pass cali emissions test with them installed. If I gotta buy my smog certs why would I spend $700 on something that negatively effects flow and makes it so I can’t run leaded fuel?
School me… what am I missing here?
I have both turbos and Kooks Green cats on my G8. Turbos quiet things slightly, but are hardly mufflers. The cats also help cut down on the noxious smell from the exhaust. And don't think E85 makes it smell that much better. Catless E85 cars smell bad too, just different. That’s what turbochargers are for : )

You ran 9.2 with cats on .What type fuel.I ran 9's in my Demon with them but have deleted them now.
I had the cats off when I did the 9.2 run on MS109.You ran 9.2 with cats on .What type fuel.
To run 9's at full weight you have to add boost. Can't add much boost on 93 oct. Cats are not stopping you from running in the 9's. More HP is needed. Basic 9 sec recipe, 2.85 upper pulley, 10% od ATI Balancer, either ID1050 or ID1300x injectors, Upgraded fuel pumps if your car is not a Redeye, E85, Satera Tuning tune, Tune can be done remotely.I don't care about race fuel .drive my car on the street .when I race use 93 oct plus a little boostane to make sure its at least 93.
