I’m looking to upgrade my rear tire/wheel set up to either 17’s or 18’s with the MT ET Street 305/45R. I know the 18’s are an inch taller over the 17’s and will fill the well better so I’m just looking to get an idea. My car is the stock height and I also have the Phillips Lil’ Devils Flares. Here’s a profile of how I’m set up with 11in. HR5’s with the Nitto NT05 315’s. They are 28.62 high, closer in height to the MT17’s. Thanks for any help.

Nice pics for certain, but not all that helpful without info. Clearly 15’s up top and maybe 17’s below. Ill check AM though. Thanks.

It also depends upon the size and aspect ratio. The 305/45x17 is about 28" tall, whereas the 305/45x18 is 29", with the stock tire being 28.7". On a new car where it hasn't settles yet, the 17" will have a huge gap. I went with the 18's for three reasons; 1. No worry about end links. 2. In stock and I have them. 3. I can use normal lug nuts. My car has settled, so it will match my summer 315/35 stance.

@baabootoo I’m thinking 18’s for the same reasons. The new MT ET Street SS comes in both 305/35R20 and 305/45R20 with respective heights of 29in. and 31in. Ive got to think the 31in. will be too high. Something to consider though. Nice to have a 20in. wheel/tire combo with some side wall.

While I'm not looking for those last few hundredths, after reading a LOT of posts, it seems like the 18's are at least close to the 17's and the 18's are the Street R vs. the Street S/S, for better? grip.

Billet specialties does not require end links if you’re stock height and billet specialties uses stock lug nuts. I have the win lites they have a new style that’s bad ass!

This is what mine looks like with an 18" x 10" wheel and 305/45/18 NT05R tire. Stock ride height.

Thanks David. Beautiful car btw. Can you still break them loose with ease? Wondering if a 17in. wheel would be that much better.

Better be certain esc is ALWAYS disabled with that much stagger. It will apply front brake if it gets turned on w 28f n 31r. Clearance is prolly gonna be a problem too

Frame it tub it : )
