I'm having issues in the Charger with ViaMobile. Phone is paired, app is installed. When I click to start Pandora, it says to launch the UCONNECT app (which is already launched) and then says to pair my phone (which is already done). We tried deleting/re-adding phone and app, and tsc even tried logging into his and it still didn't work (even though it works in his Challenger).

Any suggestions?

To make it more confusing.. At least with iPhones if your UConnect app is not running and you launch one of the ViaMobile apps it will actually launch the UConnect app for you. In her Charger it launches the app, sits there for a bit and then says to start the app, lol.

Running latest radio firmware, same as Challenger -- 14.47.1. She has iPhone 6+ I have iPhone 5s. Mine works in my car using my account. Doesnt work in her car using my phone and her account.

It's all very strange.

Did you try closing the app on the phone and then reopening the app? The phone will shut down the app after a while to save battery life. (It may look like it's open and ready) If it's been open a while I just close and reopen. Too many apps open all at once will interfere with it functioning. I have iPhone 6+. Double click the home button and swipe the apps up to close.

I'm having same issues as you (Android 5.0x) in my Challenger. At least the bugs are consistent cross platform (both iPhone and Android). I haven't spent too much time figuring it out yet since I'm not using the car.

Same thing here with our new Grand this weekend. It was impossible to the point I said, I'll try it in the Hellcat next weekend. We saw the same errors and lack of coordination between the vehicle and phone. I just recorded a couple of SD cards, they sound great!

Via Mobile seems to be REALLY hit-n-miss. Mine used to launch Pandora Via Mobile perfectly; never had to touch the iPhone 6. Now, it never succeeds with the "hands-off" launch. If I launch the UConnect Access app on the phone and THEN start Pandora Via Mobile, it will connect successfully on maybe 50% of the attempts.

Whenever it fails, it's during the Pandora "...logging in..." screen. It feels like there's a timeout occurring... that might explain the 50% success rate.

Very annoying.

Yes, this happens immediately without any delay. I also have a 6+.

I was able to resolve this by un-pairing and re-pairing my phone. (iPhone 6+). I think I did this from my phone by "forgetting" or deleting the UConnect connection, and then having UConnect start the re-pair. I did this a few days ago and the 3-4 times I have tried since then, Pandora and iHeart Radio are working fine again. (Though if it starts happening again and I need to re-do the process, I will not be shocked).

I have an iPhone 6+. Is there an option to plug the USB cable in, maybe hide it behind the dash and have the end come out in the pocket on the passenger side of the console so it's 'direct connected'?

Really no need to use a wired connection; the Bluetooth is flawless and will allow you to listen to either your iTunes library or your app streaming content at high quality. No Via Mobile required.

There are still a lot of bugs in this system! Half the time even my iPod plugged into USB won't work so I will use the Bluetooth and that usually works. Its horribly slow and today it even took forever to turn up the radio. By the time it finally caught up with the amount I turned it up, I blew my ear drums and the neighbors out! I really hope we get another update for the system soon!!! It is a hit or miss system. Not consistent. Sorry, I wish I could provide some pearls of wisdom. I have tried to update and reprogrammed, shut everything off and turned it back on, stood on my head counted backwards and pushed the buttons with my toes! Nada!

I think I will submit something formal to them so they know we are having problems. Not just mine. Thanks
Caren opened up a ticket with UConnect. Since then I reset everything to factory default via engineering menu, re-loaded the radio firmware and still no luck. Refuses to interact with any ViaMobile apps. With the UConnect phone app running, it will change from 'waiting for ...' to 'ready' while Pandora is trying to log in, then switch back to 'waiting for ...' and the radio will say to open the app (it's already running).

Meanwhile the Challenger continues to work just fine.

Argh! please share what they tell you. I have more issues with lag time and connectivity is hit or miss with various electronic devices. I usually have about 5 in the car at all times so I can usually get it to connect to one of them through Bluetooth. I haven't tried Pandora, I will mess with it tomorrow and see if I have issues too. Thanks
