Anyone else have this packing inside driver's fender?

While cleaning my 23 Redeye Challenger, I noticed this packing, almost like quilt batting inside the driver's fender at the rear by hood hinge. It's only on the driver's side and not on passenger's. Seems to go quite a way down the fender. Just worried about it being a place for moisture to collect.

I'd worry more about it collecting mice than moisture. That's a nest just waiting to happen.

Yes, I noticed it in my 21 wbre. I figure it's there for a reason or left over from factory installation. Someone will know more details...

I'll have to check mine later. I'm pretty sure I have that as well but it's tucked in deep behind the fender; yours looks like an extra piece or it wasn't pushed down all the way......

I could actually see it between the hood and fender when the hood is shut. I sure don't remember seeing on WB Scat.

I wouldn't touch it; until someone has details on it. Theres a lot of engineering that goes into these rides. To reassure you here:

I will need to check. Was under the hood of my cat tonight and don’t remember seeing that stuffing. I will look tomorrow

If it's up around the fittings, it's probably to reduce squeaks and so on.
