Wondering how many here have gone from D status to D1 in the last month or two? If you have made the move when did you order and what did you order? If a Jailbreak I'd have to assume allocation if you went to D1. Still waiting for D1 since 8/3 for a JB Challenger.

You could be awhile, although JB's will often move a little quicker. I had ordered in early June, and was placed in D1 in the middle of August.

FWIW - the plan is also shut down until Monday. 09/19.

Slightly silly question, but at what point is it certain that the ordered vehicle will be built?

I read a couple days ago that the rail worker strike is affecting shipping.

When it actually gets built. It only takes a day to "build" the car. When it is scheduled, it "should" normally be built on that date. That's not been the case lately with Brampton. Thus, being D1 is a good sign that it's coming, having a firm schedule is better, but even then sometimes people go a month past their scheduled date with no activity. Thus, it is extremely difficult to predict what "normal" is, except to say that the reality is it will sit for weeks or months with seemingly no movement, and then suddenly it will be complete pending inspection.

Your car was scheduled very quickly (D1). Typically the build/estimated ship date is around a month after it has been scheduled..so your car should be getting built late this month.

Getting could be only half of the battle. Shipping can take anywhere from a few days to several months. I’ve seen many cases with both extremes. The current railroad situation certainly will not help matters.

When I ordered my 2020, it took 8 months to receive it. It was D1 within 2 weeks and built within 4 weeks. The rest of the time was for failing quality checks, having to redo the paint, and the shipping took 8 weeks. What hurt the worst was Dodge has a regional shipping yard in Jacksonville, about an hour and a half from my house. The car went by boat from BC to Tampa, then 1 day from Tampa to Jacksonville, then it SAT THERE FOR TWO WEEKS waiting on them to fill a transport for the short trip to Tallahassee.

My experience isn't reflective of what's happening now, as mine was a Covid car... but like then, they're having parts and logistics shortages. The main difference is they had fewer buyers due to Covid and ordering was actually the easy part. It was the half-staffed production facility and long inspection and re-painting times that took forever.

I looked up the codes but could not find anything that correlates to the "timeline" on the tracking page. If scheduled is D1, what is in production? Thanks.

These are some of the codes when it starts being built..

E: Frame

Emailed the dealership. I'm in paint. So that's progress.
