When I ordered my 2020, it took 8 months to receive it. It was D1 within 2 weeks and built within 4 weeks. The rest of the time was for failing quality checks, having to redo the paint, and the shipping took 8 weeks. What hurt the worst was Dodge has a regional shipping yard in Jacksonville, about an hour and a half from my house. The car went by boat from BC to Tampa, then 1 day from Tampa to Jacksonville, then it SAT THERE FOR TWO WEEKS waiting on them to fill a transport for the short trip to Tallahassee.
My experience isn't reflective of what's happening now, as mine was a Covid car... but like then, they're having parts and logistics shortages. The main difference is they had fewer buyers due to Covid and ordering was actually the easy part. It was the half-staffed production facility and long inspection and re-painting times that took forever.
