I received them last week. Look like nice pieces. If I didn't have the flu I would be installing them this weekend. Once I get installed I plan to post pics and review the install.

I ordered rock guards and splitter washers last week. They haven't arrived yet. The man gave me a 15% discount when I ordered. Front/rear and splitter washers. Nice fellow. Get well soon Sub!

Today was the day. Crawled under the car, removed the rubber plugs and pushpins. Worked my way across the splitter installing the protectors. Straight forward install. Working inside the splitter to install the washer and nut on each is by feel only. The only challenge was my fingers fitting through the holes were the plugs came out but I worked through it. Parts fit the Hellcat very well. Quality pieces. No complaints. I was missing one cone. Called John at ZL1 left message, he called back 1 minute later and is sending 1 out today. I am in no hurry due to the friggin snow.

Additionally I used ZL1addons jacking device. That worked like a champ. If you do your own maintenance and don't have the jack attachment your missing out. Go buy it!

Looking at the protectors they look like anodized aluminum pieces designed to take a hit vs. the spitter.

How do they benefit (I'm asking seriously as I'm not sure I get it)? Looks like they hang a bit lower which make you more prone to hitting things.

Is the intent that you hit the protector and due to the cone shape it pushes the splitter up flexing it rather than a direct hit cracking it. Just curious. Looks like a good idea but not exactly sure exactly how they work and what scenarios they are protecting the splitter from.

I found an explanation on the website

"The Dodge Challenger Hellcat splitter washers are for the 2015/16 Dodge Challenger R/T, SRT, and Hellcat, they come with mounting hardware and adapters for protecting the front splitter from rubbing the bottom off when going through dips or up hills. No drilling required and mounts where the push pins are with stainless steel bolts and lock nuts."

Makes sense for dips etc...

The block pieces are an ABS plastic, the cones are steel. The cones sit lower than the splitter and will be the first to contact the ground before the plastic splitter does. The plastic will flex. Ultimately, the goal is to keep the plastic from contacting pavement!

I get it now. More to protect from say an incline or dip vs. a curb smack. Good idea... Kind of flex and glide the splitter. Still possible to break one but this gives you a fighting chance.

I installed mine last night. My kit was missing one of the long end pieces, but they sent me a replacement right away.

I drove up on a 2" paver block and that gave me just the right amount of room to work. It got easier as I worked with the first piece taking about 20 min to install. The last one took about 5 min.

I ended up using some painters tape to hold the block in place to free up a hand to wrestle with the wrench and trying to get the nut up in there without dropping it. Big fingers made this difficult. I also recommend using some sort of tacky stuff on your finger tips to help hold grip the nuts (what she said, lol).

It came with a very crude diagram showing where the pieces go but no other instructions. Not too complicated though.

They fit very well and should help with light scrapes such as dragging across curbs when parking.

my kit was also missing multiple parts...plus one of the bolts was machined wrong....sounds like they have some quality issues on their end.....but the good news is they sent out the replacement parts and i had them the next day...super fast service

product seems high quality

install is difficult with big fingers.....by the last one you get the hang of it and it starts to go faster......

i strongly recommend the product...hopefully they got the bugs out of their packaging/missing parts issue

They have to hange lower to protect the lip. If they do not the lip will get rubbed. You can if you want not install the adapters and just the washers, then you can install more. We make them at a 45 deg angle to not get caught on anything. I have a Hellcat and they work great at not letting the front lip scrape on the ground. they do not protect the splitter from hitting anything. There are many compound angles on the bottom of the splitter so we did not make a solid rub guard.
