Just rebuilt my Redeye and it is up ANOTHER $1300. That’s two price increases since I placed my order Nov 12 For a total $3800.
Not bad for Stallantis almost a 4K increase in in 7 months.

The cost to build them has gone up as far as parts and supplies. The prices are going to get higher moving forward.

I know it's not a Challenger/Charger but I have a 2013 Ram 1500 Express 4X4 regular cab and I can still build the exact same truck as a classic. The only exception is the transmission is now an 8spd, so when I bought it new in 13' it was $31,250 and now the same truck is $42,375

So $11,125 increase in 9 years!!

I understand that and it almost makes sense on a vehicle like the hellcats but the express is just one step above the cheapo work truck.
I regret not taking advantage of the power dollars but I’m patiently waiting my SS to arrive (it was just built)

My theory is when the inevitable recession picks up steam and it’s starting, the return of rebates will look good on the surface but really just another mark up to discount back to the target price after a couple of justified increases. Supply will magically get better when demand drops some. Uncertainty does a lot of things to buyers confidence of non essential purchases.

I bought a NB 2019 A8 Hellcat for 54k, even the dealer tossed in 6k on top of 7k in power bucks, option to finance under 3% and just 2 1/2 years ago. Seems like a pipe dream today.

Should have splurged on the Redeye 😂

This is Stellantis justifying their purchase of FCA. Somewhere someone there said “ok we spent X amount of money to buy them now let’s get that return moving along”. Granted some of it is simple supply and demand opportunity that just happened to be perfect timing for them where they can pass the blame and get that return. Way too much increase in pricing in the last 6 months just to be Covid responsible.
