Looking into some DIY options of changing leather interior components. I came across dying them with leather dye as I don’t have the tools to sew on any new leather items. Plus I actually love my seat look with the SRT stamp on the head. Also they are nice and broke in. Dying them looks like it would work great from the todo vid, but who knows.

Pretty sure that was sarcasm. Dye was more popular when I worked in a body shop in the 80’s. Did a few of my own cars when I was a kid with a tight budget. Looks ok for a while, until it starts to wear off and the original color starts showing through. You will definitely ruin your interior.

Pretty sure it's going to come out like a bad tie dye shirt with different shades if you try to do it yourself. I'd look at getting them reupholstered by a shop that does car interiors if you really want to change the color.

Ah, ok this was a good response from someone who actually has some familiarity with doing this. Thanks for the insight sir.

Not a fan of Katzkin. THey may be a leading cover manufacturer... but you can't escape the fact that they're covers. They look like covers, feel like covers. IMO, if you want a change, find a reputable auto upholstery shop and let them custom design you something cool. You will likely pay more, but you'll have something nobody else will have.

If it was me I’d buy the OEM leather seats in what color you want. That would be the best, most expensive option. 😁

actually sell tje car and order a JB with the seats you want.
