I happened to pull into a local gas station yesterday to fuel up. I noticed the high octane pump said "ethanol free" (91 octane) so I filled it up.. It was a bit spendy at $3.29/gal though..

Any benefits to running it and paying the extra money?

We have none over here it's all up to 10% ethanol and 93 no 91

yep...what he said and still about the price you paid in some spots.

i heard the ethanol adds HP

it puts deposits in your engine and wrecks it at the same time.....but i think 93 w/ 10% ethanol will be a faster car than 91 w/o ethanol
