I know, I know, my fault... Hellcat was parked in my driveway until room is made in garage. Last night at 2:30 am phone goes off with emails alerting me to alarm in car, and than I hear the alarm. Run downstairs, car is there, luckily no damage... Wife said I need to get a kill switch today.. I am in AZ. Anyone have experience with Ravelco?

Sorry to hear that Pal.
I installed the kill switch on my car ...the same day I picked that up from the dealer. very cheap but effective.

Yes. Works very well. Just as effective as IGLA but you do lose your remote start. That's the difference between the 2. (And the cost, of course)

You lose pretty much all functionality if the Ravelco plug is removed.

it’s all retained if plug left in.

Sooooo, you could leave the plug in and retain remote start if you feel otherwise secure. I.E., locked and secured garage. You could still do other things… turn tires, set parking brake, disable remote entry, etc.

It’s a judgement call.

I feel my Scat is secure as can be in my setting.

Still, I ALWAYS remove the plug. Remote start was never a need in my end.

Another thing not mentioned as a Ravelco plus: If carjacked, you could pull (and perhaps toss) the plug. This will shut the car down instantaneously.

The plug re-insertion positioning is quite specific in orientation. Most carjackers would probably not dedicate the precious time to figure it out.

Of course, doing this may have other unforeseen consequences.

But if your being carjacked, you might be hurt or killed anyway.

Just tossing (pardon the pun) this option out there. 🤗

I've been reading about relocating the neutral release or using a neutral release cover as an anti-theft measure. I've read about a few horror stories of thieves breaking into your car and getting it into neutral without a key and pushing it to a new location where they can work on it longer to get it started and fully stolen.

....how do thieves get the car into neutral without a key?
i believe they enter thru a broken window or sunroof and right next to your gear selector in the console is a cover they can bust into. it has a red neutral pull mechanism right there. pull it an shove car off to another area where the pricks do their damage.
