BACK to D Status after a MONTH AT D1!!!!

So for the last month, I've been in D1 with a scheduled build date of week of 11/3. I call today and I've been pushed BACK into D status. SRT guy tells me most likely it's because they expected a shipment of hoods that didn't come in. He said "There's no code that tells me why it moved back but most likely we'll get the shipment later in the week and get your car built."
This is TOTAL BS. How is the he77 do you promote a car like this and then can't build them?? It's not like Dodge/Chrysler is a new freaking company!!

Yeah, me either. He said the demand for the black satin hoods was more than Dodge anticipated. He DID confirm that they have built some with the black hoods so apparently they do have SOME hoods made. Unbelievably frustrating to all of us the way this entire process has gone.Damn that blows!!! I don't even know what to say
I'm really surprised because my sales rep said those black satin hoods wouldn't be ready till near end of year then when I saw some members going D and D1 status I was surprised!

Thanks WT. I am hanging. Like everyone else, I'm just frustrated with the misleading information and the delays. Honesty would be the best way for Dodge to handle it.

The Misleading happened in 2008 and its happening in 2014.

Never go D??? Does that mean it is confirmed that dodge is not building one for everyone who has ordered? I didn't think we had confined that yet but may have missed it.
I was on D1 then went back to D. After I removed the black leather seats made from Laguna cows and the black hood it went back to D1 a week later. My dealer advised me if I waited for those two options I wouldn't see the car till next year around sping time. Who knows where the truth lies at this point.

I am honestly confused by the black hood issue. I get that the supply and demand for certain options that rely on outside vendors might be a hold up, but paint? That one has seriously baffled me...
There's no reason to believe that ANYONE who ordered a Hellcat won't get it - this model year.
Brampton was down for retooling.
They run two shifts now. Don't think they won't up that to 3 shifts if needed to fill all of the orders.

I was told when I put my money down end of November early December and I placed my order first day 9-9 in the am ( or should I say my dealer did) I was D1 last I heard but am afraid to call, think I will just wait until end of the Month.
I hope you're right and I'm hoping you're telling us this because you have some inside info, CD. We are all struggling right now, not because of we don't mind waiting to get this amazing car, but simply because Dodge and SRT have given people false hope with build and shipping dates that were not true. My opinion, and it is ONLY an opinion, they shouldn't give out that info unless they can live up to it. We, as the buyers, have every right to expect them to do what they say. There are tons of reasons people are frustrated. From dealers ordering when they didn't have allocations, to Dodge advertising options that just weren't available, to making people change their orders AFTER they were already in place, to false build dates, false ship dates, shutting down the VOTs website, it goes on and on. Yes, we will get our cars. We just expect more out of a corporation that has been in business for as long as they have.

Just my opinion, but at least when they shut down the vots site at least it ended the incorrect information from that end. Nobody can see it so they can't be mislead by their mistakes on the site... Now it's just the dealers and srt! I guess sooner or later some of us will have their cars and others can drool over them until their own comes in. I can wait and look forward to the enjoyment of rolling up the pavement!

Dodge brothers would be very disappointed in the way this company has been with its customers. From the ordering process to build to delivery. The greed is with the leadership of this company.
Well it would have been nice to tell the actors Dodge Bros at the gas monkey event this past weekend and they'll say well we just work as actors. LOL
