Anyone have any weird electrical issues after changing your battery. I'm about to change mine and upgrade to an AGM, it's a 2020 REWB. I seem to recall on my 17 Hellcat something weird happened to my Uconnect screen but can't remember for sure. Thanks, Ken

Sometimes Uconnect will lose it's little mind, but just leave it alone and it should sort itself out in a couple of days. If you're going to change the battery, think about getting part
05112059AB (battery bracket) first. It'll allow you to upgrade from 94R/H7 to a 49/H8 for a little more juice.

Noted and ordered the 49/H8 and bracket, 249 for the battery and 20 for the bracket..

When I swapped out my battery over a year ago, I clamped my NOCO GB40 battery jumper to the jumpstarting terminals under the hood. No problems with Uconnect or any of the other electronic systems. If you have a trickle charger, that should also work.

If you're replacing the battery I suggest this. I’ve had one of the Arc Angle’s in both of mine for some time now. It saved approx 30 lbs and cranks the engine like its on steroids. Much stronger then the OEM. It’s a full size drop in replacement. I haven’t experienced any downside and it has a 10 year warranty. A stock lead acid battery doesn’t last that long so what’s to loose?

Yes, that's pretty soon for a battery issue. So stock these did not come with an AGM?
I don't know for sure but I hope the stock batteries are AGM, especially since the first bullet point on the list below cites the need for the additional power an AGM supplys for touchscreens and other electronics.

I couldn't easily find one for a Charger Hellcat, but they show $800 to $1200! Is that correct????????

I'm not sure what they cost today. I put the one in my Hellcat 5 or 6 years ago and in the Redeye back in 2019. I recall paying around 5 to $600 for my application.

My 2015 had an AGM installed from the factory. It last just over 3 years in a garage kept car but, the heat of our summers is hell on any battery.

Yeah, I know it sounds soon. I had an on going electrical issue where my drivers window would randomly start opening and closing by itself like when you open the door and it drops down that 1/4 inch. Had it at the dealer several times and they replaced several things in the door but couldn't replicate the issue. It would happen so often it would drain the battery and I'd have to charge it over and over again. Finally it happened while at the dealer and was fixed. after that my battery always seemed weak even after a full charge. Then I started having hot start issues so I figured screw it and decided to upgrade.

I picked up an Interstate AGM H8 battery from Costco for like $180-190 (I also picked up the other bracket) and comes with a 36 month warranty. It's HEAVY though. Ended up not being a battery issue on my car at the end of the day but whatever. It wasn't too expensive and I have a better battery.

Got around to doing the replacement and worked out great. I also no longer have the "Hot Start" issues either... Thanks Robisoda for the tip...!

No factory Challenger or Charger battery should be AGM, they are all old school wet cell flooded batteries and SXT through Hellcat all use the same battery. I'd have to see a pic of a factory AGM battery to believe it.
