Hi,

Finally taken the Cat out of hibernation!

Before the first ride of the year I always do an inspection and notice that the battery doesn’t have the vent plug installed. It’s vented on the positive side properly but I see a hole on the negative side still.

I looked to see if the plug was still on the positive terminal cover but I don’t see it anywhere. There’s no indication that it even came with a plug.

The battery was replaced by the dealship about a 1.5 year ago and they replaced it with the “Mopar performance pro” Do these batteries come with a plug? Are they preinstalled? Trying to find pics and info on this battery which I had trouble finding hence why I’m here asking this question:)

Thanks

Positive side should have the vent hose attached to a 90 elbow. The vent hose should go thru the hole in the battery case. You can plug the one on the neg side of the battery with a silicone sealant or caulk. You can look up H7 or H8 battery vent hose on YT.

Good Idea with the caulk, I ended up going back to the dealership and they gave me a plug that they ripped out of another battery. I hope nothing corroded with not having the vent plugged up.
