Been a member for a while. Im a mechanic at a Dodge dealer and have wanted a Hellcat since I drove one when they first came out. Finally got one a year ago this month. Bought a 2016 Challenger Hellcat A8 with 3900 miles. So far added a JLT intake and 315 Nittos on reproduction wheels. The car is a ton of fun. Gotten lots of info from the site.

Black on red, with red badges and ruby interior? Shew that looks sinister. Next mod should be side markers or side marker tint, and perhaps a red badge for the grill.

Enjoy keeping it clean, beautiful car friend!

I would say welcome to the forum but you've been on here for quite a while lol

Nice ride brother - never tried the Nitto’s myself, you got the right size though lol - would love to know how well they hold the power on the street or better yet at what rpm they break loose compared to the stock tire 😬

Thanks. I have the marker tint ordered. Eventually I'll get the red grill badge but $86 for a 3 inch piece of stick on plastic is a tough pill to swallow. Haven't been to the track. If I do itll be after a driveshaft and diff brace upgrade. I lucked out getting a pristine car and dont want the bottom beat up. Seen many of your posts in my research and browsing Linda. You always seem to have good advise for people. The Nittos arent the drag radials and I haven't paid attention to RPM much. Only driven the car a couple times since I got the rub issues worked out. The car hooks around 50 now give or take instead of 70ish with the PZero all seasons. Takes a lot of finesse to get it off the line on the street but the tire spinning and back end kicking out is a ton of fun also. From the dealership mechanic perspective I dont have much to talk about cause we rarely see any problems with them other that driver error. Saw a guy take out 25k worth of parts under a Redeye widebody Challenger right after they came out with no insurance. Do benefit from some free rotors guys throw out after brake jobs. Cut them real clean on a lathe, oil them up and put them in the tool box for future use.

Ebay knock off emblems? Until it was pointed out I hadn't thought much of the color difference between the fender badges and grill/spoiler badges. Now it stands out.

Thanks. It's a constant balancing act between keeping it clean and driving it. My Ram is a 2012 and its probably the cleanest 2012 in 100 miles. My favorite car has to be my 2003 Monte Carlo beater cause it gets me to work and around town and keeps my Challenger, truck and Nova in the garage.

I spent a long time with a heat gun and got it very close. Almost non existent rubbing on the passenger side over easy bounce and rebound/hard left cornering. Ended up with 3mm spacers from speedlogix. No issues at all now. Wedged wood wedges designed for installation of doors and windows in the tightest spot and heated the liner and let it cool. Found that you couldn't get it to cool in the exact position you wanted in any other way.
