September 9, 2014 @ 8:32 am my order for a sublime green w/black hood, laguna seats, and 8 speed was submitted. January the car got a VIN. February 16th the car got its place in line and rolled off the assembly line on February 20th. It the sat for a week then went to the body vendor for 3 weeks to get the hood and badging. The car then went to the rail yard and sat in storage for a couple more weeks before being sent to Wentzville Mo on rail. It made it to Wentzville on April 17th where it then was to load on a car hauler and be delivered to dealer on the 20th. That was just a estimated date, it didn't come. Then it was for delivery on the 23 at 2 pm, and which I took the day off to take delivery of the car. Well the car never came. At this point I was starting to wonder if I was ever going to get the car. On Friday SRT says there is no ETA on my car. Not sure why the car is not being shipped, I then decided not to call SRT anymore to just so I could get my hopes up again.

So yesterday on my way to post office I am sitting at a red light, and there goes the car hauler hauling my hellcat to the dealer. As i am chasing the carrier down to dealership and getting pictures of it going down the road I am shaking with excitement. It was awesome to be able to catch the car coming into town. I was able to video the car being pulled off the carrier. My heart is pounding. Hearing the roar of the hemi was awesome. The stance of the cat and listening to the whine as it was reved up was giving me the chills.
During check in the car had 2 small dings on passenger side of vehicle and found the tires had been pretty rashed up from burnouts already. There was rubber on the rear fenders already. The car had 6 miles put on it. I am sure the miles were put on at body vendor. Probably where 1/8 of the tire is sitting.

This didn't bother me as much as it would others, just glad to finally have the car. The dealer said that they would take care of the dents without me asking and would deduct 700 for the hassle. WOW not expecting that when I was buying the car at MSRP. I will post more as I have more time behind the wheel of this Cat.

Those of you waiting for yours yet hang in there the wait is worth it. It took 230 days for me to take delivery. I have never seen a hellcat in person until mine. Feeling very lucky today.

congrats on your car. I didn't think it could be taken out of shipping mode until the dealer got it and shipping mode is like a 25 mph limit or something....although I'd bet the procedure to take it out of ship mode isn't a giant secret so I guess others could have along the way.

I am sure Chrysler would like to know about the torn up tires. The people who move these cars are supposed to be professional. I get that it isn't a huge deal, I would probably feel the same way, but I would let them know. Awesome on the discount!! Congrats! Hope you are out having a blast! I followed my car on the hauler too! That anticipation of seeing it cruise down the highway on the truck causes all kinds of butterflies in your stomach. Literally, Mariah Carey had nothing on my octaves when I saw my car! My poor daughter just recovered and that was over 4 months ago.:D

I would be pretty upset about the tires and rubber on the fenders. I would request a new set of tires and free oil changes for life. But that's just me....

I doubt what you saw was tire burnout/rash. The lines the car came through I'm sure they have seen many, plus shipping mode, etc. But the dents concern me. I don't ever recall seeing so many new cars of one model show up, or incur, so many dents and dings since leaving the factory. Seems odd.

Congrats, I'm happy for you but the whole rubber on the rear fenders and torn up tires from burnouts, prior to delivery with 6 miles on the car would have me absolutely bonkers. My feelings on that would definitely be known throughout the dealership.

Congrats on finally getting your Hellcat. I would not let the tire issue die. That should never have happened. I would stay on your Dealer & Chrysler until you at least get a new set of tires.

Don't hold your breath if you think FCA or the dealer are going to dish out $600+ dollars on time and tires for a potential burnout that may have occurred enroute. The car had 6 miles and they are perfectly fine. It's not like they filmed Fast & Furious 7 with it.

Dealer seems to be a stand up operation and I'll bet they were glad you followed the car hauler to the dealership so there was no doubt they were not the culprits! Congrats...the wait is finally over!

Congrats on the hellcat. These cars are amazing! I am shocked you have evidence of burnouts when the vehicle was on the truck.

I was one of the very few lucky folks that got to actually drive my car from the receiving yard to the dealer. So I delivered my car to the dealer basically. When they are at the receiving yard they are in transport mode and it's impossible to spin tires, I tried. It's not until the dealer removes it from transport mode that you have access to all the power and settings. I didn't even have a radio.

I do hope they figure out what happened in your situation and take care of you! Welcome to the fam!!

Congrats on the cat! Where are the pics?

Isn't it funny how all the stress, strife, anguish, anger, impatience, desperation, and all the other feelings you have had during your wait, don't mean squat once you've cranked that car up?

Welcome to the family.

Umm that is the most unprofessional response I've ever heard... No way in any world should it be ok
