Are 305/45/17 too short ? What’s optimal for this rim?

@drag racer whats wrong she ran a 10.6 wobblin
It looks like you are asking for advice after the fact.

That is the wrong offset for that car. For that reason, you are limited to a 305 or 10.5 width. On good prep with the proper burnout and tire pressure the current tire/setup should hook. I would switch to the the ET Street R's when these wear out.

Get the correct rim and the sky is the limit on tire choices.

Just so you know, I run a setup similar to this : Narrow Body rim on a wide body : but it is because they are expensive BS Win Lights and I only use this small tire setup to set personal bests on max race prep. The reason is, I already had the rims and they are expensive and they were paid for. So I dedicated them for this purpose. And they may offer a very slight aerodynamic advantage. They look goofy, but it's not that bad.

What’s your best quarter-mile and is your car stock?
I don't have that car any more. I traded it on a Demon. It ran 9.95 in Houston in negative DA. With a TCM tune to LOWER the shift points it ran 9.90. It was hitting the rev limiter and I did not want to send the PCM in to get it unlocked.

Man you sound like you know so much what you’re talking about what does it mean when it hits the rev limiter
In the really good conditions the car was making more power than normal. So, it was over revving in first and second gears before that transmission could shift. So the PCM was closing the throttle to keep the car from over revving.

Post pictures of your demon and is that car faster
Of course the Demon is faster. Set up pretty much the same way the Demon went 9.56 @ 141. Both the Demon and the Super Stock were completely stock power.

Yes those are the same wheels and tires off the Super Stock.
