Planning on doing a 426 build and using the shops provided short block - and unfortunately they aren't in the "core swap" biz of sending mine in for a discounted price on the built motor. Shop will send me the 426 and my installer will pull the heads off mine and do the install. My vehicle would be down for a substantially longer period of time if I sent my own in to have built, so I'm curious what the best way to go about selling a stock short block is. I'm not in the business of shipping massive items that require pallets on eBay, so other than local marketplace I feel like I'll be SOL.

If it's the original motor, just keep it in storage. A short block does not take up much space, yes? Makes a great coffee table base. Coat it in ultra-gooey 150-weight gear oil inside and out, wrap it in the most ozone-raping-to-manufacture plastic you can find, and put it up.
