So I have a 2020 Charger HCWB and I have tried two different exhaust options. First I put the Vibrant 1794's on in place of the mid muffler. It sounded pretty good. My son wanted it louder hoping to get the pops of the 2017 back so I cut them off and put straight pipes in. It is louder but not sure if I like the tone of it. I would like it to be a little deeper than it is now.

I have another post about getting it to pop like the 2017 and it appears the cars have changed since then. One suggestion was to put larger pipes in that might get it to pop. Not sure if that would work or if it would change the tone of the exhaust. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The popping comes from the ignition timing and unburnt fuel, you're not going to be able to change the exhaust and drastically change that.

I built my own 3" system with a properly designed x-pipe, larger and longer glasspack-type mufflers, and smaller resonators. It crackles and pops a noticeable amount more than stock... even with the custom active valves in place. Gets really rowdy when the turndowns are swapped in for the axle back.

I used the Dynomax Race Bullitts on my 2020 Charger WB and got plenty of cracking and popping. Going tomorrow morning to get the race bullitts installed on my 2020 Charger HC. Best $150 mod you can do to a Charger/Challenger IMO.

The OP has already tried this and it didn't help.

MBRP makes a really sweet 3in diameter t304 stainless steel cat back with an x pipe and big carbon fiber tips. They have a street or race version with the difference being a small resonator or straight pipe. I think it only costs about 1k when I order my hellcat soon i'm going that route. They are a very reputable company and have been around for a while. Look into it though they have some videos on YouTube with driving impressions :)

Is there a big difference between the Race Bullets and the Vibrant 1794's?

I have not used the Vibrant 1794's. Only used the race bullitts and have been very happy. IMO they sound better on the 392's than the HC. They are louder on the 392's. Had race bullitts installed this morning on my HC. Sounds good but liked them on my 392 WB Charger better.

Not really, I've run both, the Dynomax bullets are slightly shorter leading to a slightly raspier sound.

The Dynomax bullets sound ridiculously good on the Charger 392.

Had the mids replaced with Dynomax Bullets 24250 a few weeks ago on my Cat. Kept the stock rear resonators and also added the Z Automotive Valve Deletes. Sounds great. Has lots of pop & crackle to it just like my previous 392. My 392 was a little louder but not by much. I also didn't have rear resonators on the 392. Both cars are M6. The 392 had some drone but the Cat doesn't. It cost me $150 on both cars to remove mids and replace them with the 24250s. I think it sounds better than most cat-back systems I've heard.

HHP has the Awe exhaust system 2 different versions race and street had it on my 15 race version sounded great but it was loud but had a good tone

That's Right!

I have the AWE Track edition installed on my HC Charger. I love it! I get many compliments when I'm at the gas station Or in parking lots about the old school sound and no drone while driving.
And I have fun with FOB starts ....watching people jump.lol

I track my Hellcat but there is also a touring edition for longtime driving but when you get on it you get that cool sound!

I wonder if the valve delete is what makes them pop and crackle. I get some but not a lot of it.

Last week I installed the Borla Atak with valve simulator on my 2021 WB RE. I had the Vibrant 1794’s previously. The tone is now much deeper and cracks and pops a little more. When you hammer down it’s awesome! Much better than vibrants and a deeper rumble at idle. Last night at my son‘s fball practice I backed in and some lady told me my car sounded amazing! I love it! It’s not so loud it’s annoying but when you gas it you can hear the power. The cold start is way better than vibrants as well.
