My car only came with two red keys. I will be doing a good bunch of Auto-X this summer. Is it worth getting, and using, a black key for these? Thanks.

You can just select the 500hp mode in the SRT pages. I've run with both and it didn't matter either way. If you log with HP Tuners and track your air mass and do a horsepower and torque math (or just use the torque PID) you will see you rarely use anything near 500hp. Unless you are on a runway.

Leave it in 700+ mode.

We used to auto-x our 2011 STI. I would run your car in 500 mode. The most powerful cars are rarely the fastest in auto-x, unless it's some really dialed in, modded car that is purpose built for auto-x. I have watched many a Mustang and Camaro overpower the tires again and again on an auto-x track. This type of racing is all about finesse and technique.

I assume you are talking about auto cross and not something like a big track time trial deal, etc., in which case you'd use the 700 mode, but I haven't done either with a hellcat, so I am just sharing general experience with auto x.

Auto-x is pretty cool. My son drove the car. We upgraded the sway bars and endlinks and that made a world of difference. I am a straight line guy so never drove the car for auto x. But it was fun and you get in a bunch of runs and it's a lot cheaper than other forms of racing.

If you plan to auto x a lot, I would upgrade the sway bars to adjustable and also upgrade the end links (which are pitifully small) and also get some really good tires. That will make a HUGE difference and you have some adjustability so you can deal with oversteer/understeer and all that stuff.

You will have to research the sway bars and endlinks, as I have never looked into that since I just drag race my HC

Here is a link below: looks like stock is front 34mm and rear 22 mm, and the ones I found online, aftermarket at 35mm and 25 mm. But the big thing is that you can get some adjustability too with the aftermarket ones.

Just sharing info. I haven't run a hellcat in auto x so hopefully someone will post up who has.

Thanks. I use the PS 4S and will leave the suspension as is since I don't need to set any records. I can't wait to test it using manual mode, and just leaving it in an upper gear to stop spin from a stop; hopefully!
