Anyone know how these work? Does it limit the RPM, to only 500? Kills timing/fuel? Mine came with two reds only and I'm wondering if I should get/trade for a black one. Thanks.

Basically they work like this:
You keep it with the red ones.
When you go to grab a fob to go somewhere you never touch it and only ever grab the red one.
This is exactly how they work.

I believe it mainly limits boost to keep the car at 500hp. I know I feel zero difference when driving with the black key unless I really romp on the gas but normally driving around town the car feels exactly the same to me as the red key. It may also limit RPM or timing but I could have sworn most of it was just a limit in boost by utilizing the bypass valve.

If you want to know what it's like just go into your SRT pages and flip it from 700+ to 500.

I’ve never tried it. If I wanted to be at 500 then I woulda kept my srt 392. I’d keep the two red keys.

limits the boost. my redeye will only make 3lbs of boost with the black key.

and yes you don't ever need the black key.

Yeah I bought mine used as well. Gave me two reds and contacted me a week after I bought it to tell me they found the black key, I told em I dont even need it.
So it doesn’t bother you knowing somewhere out there another person has a key to your car?

My car because purchased new came with 2 reds and 1 black key. Black key is in safe and is never used. I'm glad I have it to have a complete set if I sell the car, but if I would have never been given it, I wouldn't purchase one and I sure as hell wouldn't trade a red key for a black one. I wish Mopar would have kept all the black keys and spent the funds on a more secure key coding system and high tech anti-theft controls to better prevent vehicle theft.

Ill be using the black key for auto crossing. 747 whp is too much for most tracks. the blk key, my pedal commander on sport+4 and a feathered foot really helps coming out of corners.

Where in the SRT pages is there place to flip it from 500 to 700+ just asking for a friend?

Click on custom for the modes, then click on the power section. In there you can select 500 or 700+, only when using the red key. If using the black key it will not give that option.

My car came with only one black and one red key, so my wife got the black one and I keep the red one. She got the black one not because I don't trust her but because she does not want that much power. Anyway, I flip it to 500 anytime I get stuck in the rain. I rarely drive the car in rain but sometimes they pop up so that is how I use it.
