Hey guys, waiting on a BMR cradle lockout kit for my challenger. For those who have installed this, do you really need to disconnect everything they say in the install instructions? Fuel fill, brake lines, calipers? Any info or insight you guys could share would really be appreciated. Thanks!

Nope, don't follow BMR's instructions instructions. I dropped the cradle about 2-3 inches per side, supported the rear axle with a floor jack, piece of cake. Use a new drill bit to drill out the green limiter plates, then pry them off. Pretty easy job actually. Can't get into detail now, but do a search. Plenty of us have done the install and written it up here. Difficulty wise maybe 4-5/10. Not at all hard, just a PITA. Done in about 3 hrs.

You don't have to drop fully but if you don't disconnect some things you could strain them, brake lines can snap and those will be a pita to fix. Fuel filler neck is a must if you drop the cradle, has zero slack.

Highly recommend paint marker the cradle to the body with lines, that way you can check for cradle walk which will affect your thrust angle. I got lucky mine didn't need an alignment, some have had issues.

Remove 1 side at a time. But loosen both sides. Remove rear brake line mounts on either side, maybe 10mm bolt behind liner. No need to remove fuel filler tube.

and another:

The only need that I see to disconnect the filler tube is if you are doing a diff lockout or a rear sway bar and dropping the crdle evenly on both sides. I chose to unbolt the calipers and let them hang from the hoses. Do one side at a time.

I just did a set of outlaw axles, rear AAD arms, springs, diff lockout, cradle lockout, rear sway bar, extended wheel studs, stainless brake hoses, and rear brakes.
I meant to make a post about the larger sway bar and how I modded the sheet metal so the evap tubes do not get crushed by the bar at full top height.
I need to make some install posts lol, I took pictures.

Which SS brake hoses did you go with?
I was looking at these but when I contacted them they said they didn't sell a kit for the hellcat yet.
They were in stock at Summit Racing.

Putting in work @GreenMachine15! Gotta see those installs/how to’s. Why did you go with longer wheel studs if you don’t mind me asking?
I have titanium open end lug nuts and I was running 1/8 billet spacers last year for the 315s , makes me feel better when they are through the nut rather than only half way. No spacer this year. I will brush some flat black paint on the end of the studs when I am done.

Oh! I thought you got them to fit just by hitting the wheel well! I’m still waiting on my tires for another month and a half 😤

I did, but I was cautious. I am taking them out this season.
