Hey Guys and Gals,
Am I reading this right, 30 PSI boost max. on the Cat? I am not well versed about this, and was wondering what the maximum boost is, in case somebody asks? Anybody know for sure?

18 psi is going to be difficult because of the blowers pulley assembly not to mention boost alone is only one factor in making HP, the blower is small (1.9) and is most likely near max rpm & flow, 15 psi is more in line with the 17% OD dampener and reworking the blow off assembly...

Yes, my bad 2.38 CC rated for 11.6 psi

I'm sure it will make 18-20 psi but it will just make loads of heat and not work very well at that level. I ran a 2.8 KB and 14psi seemed to be the magic number.After 14 it just made heat,the car never went faster than 9.6 even at 21psi and it went 9.6 at 14psi.
I would think this little 2.4 would probably be about the same.However this car does have much better cooling than my 2008 did.

It don't matter if he knows what he's doing, the blower has it's limits and you didn't run no 10's with an RT at 8 or 9lbs of boost either.

In stock form, this 2.4L blower is running 14,600rpm at rated power and 11.4-11.5psi. So it's definitely not at it's max rpm or psi. The Z06 is running a 1.9L blower spinning 20,000 at rated stock power, so it's doubtful that they'll be able to squeeze much more out of that one. But the Hellcat blower definitely has some more in it.

Still, the big gains will be made when Whipple or Kenne Bell come out with some 3.0-4.0L blowers for these cars. That'll probably be a while though...

I dot see why we can't port and polish the blower and the snout and get a better lid for it to and cooling like they do on the ctsvs you will make more boost and it will run cooler with a bigger lid

Not sure what you mean about lid... are you referring to the top of the supercharger...
